This was the perfect location for our first two nights in Iceland. Very cozy. We were in Room 5, upstairs, and was very comfortable. Breakfast could be a tad better - but we were mainly there for the room! Jon was very accommodating. I would recommend this place - my friend recommended me here!

Excellent no frills guesthouse. Clean, neat but if you are looking for staff available 24/7 to make reservations, etc, this isn't the place for you. We stayed for the nights and it is well located for visiting the city but of the main road so it is quiet and relaxing.

This is a nice, quiet, homely guesthouse located on a peaceful residential street just a few minutes walk from the centre, and about 20 minutes walk to the Hallgrimskirkja. If you're driving, just note that this block of Ranargata is pay-parking, but several nearby streets are free (including the previous block of Ranargata).

Great place to stay in Reykjavic. Will definitely stay there again if I return to Reykjavic. Very close to the harbor and quite convenient to the center of town.

Casually recommended to me by a staffer at tourist info, and she was right! Excellent value, delightful friendly experienced hosts--Jon and his wife. Breakfast provisions are generous with fresh fruits, raw eggs to cook your way, muesli, cheese and ham. One big and one small kitchen, very well equipped. My room is spotless, with a bed even this fussy American finds comfy. The common seating area has several wingback chairs to curl up in, fresh flowers and a garden view. Wifi works perfectly. The decor is similar to American traditional/country, not the bare Ikea look of other guest houses, which I find rather cold. Also--I love the location, to me one of the prettiest neighborhoods, less touristy and an easy walk to everything.

Guesthouse correcta. Hem estat a l'apartament de dalt de tot i hem estat força bé. L'habitació és un pèl claustrofóbica però la cuina-menjador amb balcó ho arregla.
