Fantastic price and value for the 7-course tasting menu. While the actual dishes of the day were not reflected in the menu, every single course was absolutely delicious. Ours had 4 different types of fish, a seafood dish, a gorgeous beef medallion, and a tender lamb tartar. Can't go wrong!
Bad service and staff attitude. Food was good though. Not big portions and insane prices.
Nice food. Quite fancy. Friendly staff. Had the 7 course taster menu which was very nice and we'll presented although a couple of the dishes tasted similar.
Amazing fantastic! One of the highlights of our trip to Iceland highly recommend. Happy hour 3-6pm cocktails and wine are to die for. 7 course Icelandic taster menu was superb!
Great restaurant with brilliant food. The 7 course tasting menu and paired wines is highly recommend. My only comment I have is they need to change out the cutlery and plates between dishes. This place is expensive but worth every dollar
Great food and great vibe! We wanted to change our table near the window and they were very accommodating! The drinks, small plates and main entrees all tasted great! Our waitress was amazing, not only did she make sure that we had a great experience on New Years Eve, but she gave us an amazing location to go see the Northern Lights on New Years Eve (just a few days ago) after dinner. We wish there was a way to thank her!
Whale and puffin is part of the menu, so if you like those exotic and pretty meats in your belly., well this is the place.
Also is very expensive.
The staff is friendly but very slow, even to bring the first drinks
Ghale and puffin is part of the menu, so if you like those exotic and pretty meats in your belly., well this is the place.
Also is very expensive.
The staff is friendly but very slow, even to bring the firts drinks
Great cocktails but when I paid they wouldn’t give me the happy hour price even though we confirmed when we ordered that what we ordered was definitely on the happy hour menu and we were there during happy hour. $65 for two drinks and olives. Wow
Really cool bar that's pretty packed around happy hour time. The drinks are very expensive but really good. If you go during happy hour, they're about $15, which makes them pretty comparable to American city prices. The last night I wasn't quite sure what to get, so the bartender mixed me up a drink not on the menu, which was great.
Loved the experience, beautiful and tasty dishes will satisfy your Icelandic craving.
Drinks are very good, tried the smoky pomegranade drink and one of their awarded drinks Don Estragon.
Ordered the 7 course menu and it was amazing and cooked to perfection.
Service was great and helpful.
They were able to make a dish for my 3 year old as well.
I will definitely visit again.
High end restaurant. Considering how expensive every where else is. These prices aren't that bad for the high caliber of food they serve. And the desserts all look amazing
A great find in Iceland. The dishes were creative and tasty albeit a little on the salty side but I found that in Iceland and in Denmark, they use a lot of salt. Well worth it though and they have some decent local beers.
The quality of the food was exemplary. The dishes we had were filled with flavor, prepared quickly but carefully, and presented with visual flair. The staff were attentive and delightful. Highly recommend!!
I went here two times with 4 friends. We tried several things from the menu, and I can say this place is crazy with the food. Cozy atmosphere, attention to every details and the tastes are great. Not cheap at all, but it is Iceland. Definitely it worth.
Wow! What a pleasant surprise to have lunchit was Fantastic!
The food was well prepared and tasted incredible. I have pictures below of the food we ate. The notable dish was the whale. I never had it and it looked just like beef but tasted a little like seafood. Very lean.
All the other dishes were delicious.
Better get there early because it fills up fast with customers.
Really professional dedicated staff. Food becomes Art here. Would recommend to anyone looking for a classy night out.
Close to the kitchen it is to loud.. The Chef screams all the time "Service" at high pitch.. Also the room is very loud not a good place to take a bit peace at lunch.
Expensive, but if you're going to splurge on one meal in Reykjavik, this should be it. Lots of local specialities, prepared with expertise and bringing forth lots of flavours. Excellent service, with good wine suggestions, and attentive personnel. Everything was presented with a lot of style and precision, including the complementary extra appetizer and dessert.
One of Reykjavik's nicer restaurants. A rare place here where you feel like you're actually getting what you pay for - you'd pay these prices for this quality of restaurant anywhere in the world. The smart food is definitely to come for lunch where you get the same food for much less. That said certain items aren't the best - I found the fries floury and the trout mushy.
Amazing food and really friendly staff! Our first meal in Iceland so we were obviously shocked by the price, but in actual fact they could charge double for what they give you. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for somewhere to get a taste of Iceland.
We got two, seven course dinners along with 2 beers- as a result paid ~$200 for the experience- we thoroughly enjoyed the variety in the dishes. The ambiance of the restaurant is spectacular and from what we could observe their cocktails seemed decadent. Wish I could say the same for our 7 course dinners. Seemingly prepared with the same dill sauce, each dish had a blandness that was extinguished with a pungent sour or tart secondary flavor overwhelming the taste buds. For example the ocean perch was cooked perfectly and by itself had no particular taste until you added the sauce- wham, SALT! and salt is all you could taste for the next minute or two; never mind the lushly redundant dill sauce. To add to the experience the waiter hit my head with the last dish and proceeded to acting like it never happened. The desert left much to be desired leaving us wondering what others had that we didn't to get such great reviews. Hope your experience is better than ours.
Awesome food! I loved the presentation and the service was ok. They took a long to come and take our dessert orders
Good Icelandic restaurant! Went with a party of 4, ordered a couple of appetizer dishes, included a smoke goose and seafood soup (a little on the salty side) which were delicious. Also ordered the lamb feast to share and the main and side dishes were perfect!
Pricey but worth it. The lamb was delicious and the Skyr Fantasia dessert was AMAZING. Service was great too.
The fix price lunch menu is just fantastic in terms of value and taste. The rack of lamb was cooked to perfection with a hint of smokiness and seasoned to perfection. The accompanying sauce was the perfect pairing. The natural taste of lamb in Iceland is simply tiers above American standards. The desserts were visually stunning, and their taste were to match - once we stopped admiring them.
