Breakfast was very good. Hotel has off road parking which can be difficult in the city. Location is close to the centre of town.
Brilliant location in Reykjavik. Walkable to most places. The room was very comfortable with a large and warm bed. Make sure you get to breakfast early, as they were running out of food at 9am. I would definitely stay here again. It was very welcoming and comfortable.
Stayed for 3 nights with a friend. Hotel location really good, just in the centre of the city. Room nice and warm with private bathroom ( I know you can book also rooms with sharing bathroom). The room could be little be noisy because of the thin window on early morning or late evening, with the hotel located just on main street where all the buses are coming to pick up tourist. Breakfast good, with a good choice of cold and hot food. Staff ok that can help you with any information or booking. Overall a nice stay.
The hotel is right next to one of the pickup points for all tours and buses, downtown shops and areas are perfect walking distance. The rooms are small but that's fine since it's mainly for sleeping and keeping your things while you explore. Some rooms have private bathroom, others have a shared one and it's about 3 rooms per bathroom, they are always clean but other guests aren't as clean with them. They clean your room daily and provide you with clean towels. There's also a small sink, full length mirror, hair dryer and kettle in the rooms. Breakfast is served in the dinner on the 1st floor and there's quite a selection of everything. I stayed 3 nights and I'm happy with my stay, it suited my needs perfectly.
It is a budget hotel well located at bus stop 10. First pick up point for some tour coaches. The hawker food and few Asian restaurants are also located around here. Convenience and budget are the key words here.
Simple budget hotel. If parking underground watch out that you don't scrape the side of door. Driveway is narrow and has funny angles.
Great location for shopping district
Recommend friends away, got stuck in the elevator, shared bathrooms weren't clean, rooms stank, no windows. All around a bad experience
I do not recommend staying at 4th Floot Hotel. First of all, this place is not a hotel. I wouldn’t even qualify it as a hostel. It is literally an office building converted to “sleeping” rooms. There are zero amenities, no security, no lobby, shared bathrooms, etc. and it is, no lie, inside of a car rental office (?????!!!!) Its rather sketchy and the images are 100% misleading. For the price, there are dozens of nice hostels and Airbnb’s in Reykjavik, so please don’t waste your money booking 4th Floor “Hotel”. They will refuse to give your your money back as well, even though the photos and descriptions are totally misleading. Don’t waste your money book somewhere else.
Comfortable bedroom with great service. Breakfast was very nice with a huge selection. Parking slightly confusing and shared balconies a little weird: otherwise a great location and excellent pick ( with a private bathroom!!)
The location is good and price, but a bit noisy and was clean except the floor of the room. The maintenance was not the best. The room was big and nice, but the window was to the street and very noisy and my neighbor were also making a lot of noise. No shampoo or shower cap, but a frigobar, TV hairdryer and a kettle in the room makes me happy. Good breakfast
Well located, relatively cheap (given the prices in Reykjavik). The bathrooms are shared on the floor, which is not really a problem - on average there are two /three rooms per bathroom. The rooms are small but have a sink. Poor wifi connections, average breakfasts, the rooms are not and do not feel squeaky clean, the reception is ok-ish.
We had issues finding the reception area but otherwise a great hotel and breakfast!
Cozy room with a nice warm bed and a delisious breakfast.
Clean hotel in a good location
Too expensive for what you get. Shared bathroom smells, there is probably something wrong with the plumbing since the water smells and tastes like rotten eggs (unlike the very nice tap water we had at say the restaurant less than 1 block away). No window in the room we had combined with bad/no air conditioning/ventilation makes the room very hot and extremely stuffy. The poor table fan doesn't have an easy job!
Badly smelling water is my main issue here. Next to that no window in my room and the windows in the breakfast room surely need a proper cleaning. Apart from that it is clean and you can stay here if you don't find something better for the price.
The beds were OK and the breakfast was OK. Showers/toilet smelled. Room was very hot. Price was comparable to a hostel in Reykjavik.
Clean, spacious, and close to the main street.
Nice, quite clean, cheap accomodation. Good breakfast
Great staff. Free breakfast buffet in a town of expensive food. Hotel in a great location and excursions pick up from front door.
Great value
Stayed here with my sister on October 26, 2015. This place is a total dump and needs to be downgraded immediately from 3 stars to at most 2. First of all, the room smelled strongly of mildew and the bathroom appliances were a mess--the toilet seat was broken. Worse, the staff was completely rude and when we found out that the front door key didn't work on the locked door, the girl at the front desk called me a liar, saying there was no way the door was locked to begin with, instead of just giving me a new key. Then when she went to try the door herself because we insisted on getting a new keyta da the key didn't work! This is just customer service 101. She claimed the building would be unlocked by the time we returned for the evening, after midnight when the front desk staff had gone home, and sure enough it was locked. Good thing we insisted that we get a new key! DON'T STAY HERE, there are tons of guest houses and hotels nearby in the downtown area. This was a terrible experience, after having had such a fantastic experience elsewhere.
