Adequate TelAviv beach hotel is
adequate because the hotel is badly in need of a renovation for two reasons; the decorum is from the 80s and showing major signs of wear and tear.
The location, across the street from the beach, is excellent with much to do all around the hotel.
I'm leaving a video (will be in general room photos) and photos of my room, 554 from an October, 2020 stay so you can get a feel for the styling of a representative room
This hotel would get an additional star if they cared more about maintaining their common areas, such as the hallways leading to my room. There are scrapes, scuffs, missing wallpaper, and discolored areas throughout the hallways. The rooms are better kept, but as mentioned, still in need of an update.
Although this hotel feels tired, it's more than adequate if you want to be closer to the beach.
My stay at the Dan was stellar. The room was exceptional as was the view. The bed was really comfortable too. The restaurant's brunch was also very memorable- a total stand out.
This hotel is located very close to the Old Jaffa Port, has access to the boulevard and beach promenade. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a wide variety of food for breakfast and I also ate at the hotel bar twice and the staff was very friendly and gave me their recommendations. The salads are delicious. You can try local wines.
The room is comfortable and very clean. The hotel managers personally make sure that each guest feels at home. I must make special mention of Regina who was extremely kind to me and gave me personal attention. I believe that Israeli hospitality is very well represented in this team. Thank you all, I hope to visit you soon!
Nice hotel. Walking distance to everything except the big park. We came in off season so it was quiet which we enjoyed as we traveled with young kids, extended family, etc. The breakfast buffet was excellent. We didn't try any of the other restaurants (if there are any). The accommodations were nice and spacious but I think we had a suite.
The pool and gym were perfect. The kids enjoyed the heated pool and hot tub. The salt water pool outside was too cold to enjoy as we came in February.
the best bit of this classic hotel is their breakfast from the awesome staff, their friendliness and attentiveness, the varied choices of food spread out on the buffetplus egg and coffee menu on the table which you can order fantastic lovely view of the sea specially in the morning, lapping of the waves and the morning folk jogging and walking along the promenade
Amazing hotel with great facilities! Delicious complimentary breakfast! And right next to the beach! You can't get better than that!
nice hotel, clean and nice rooms. good breakfast (no bacon). nice meeting rooms. nice the Rolex lounge
Very nice hotel. It's bit the best but I really can't say it's faulty. Traditional luxury. Beach view rooms are the best!
Great, strategic location in Tel Aviv. gorgeous Mediterranean beach. fantastic beach-side walk all the way from the Tel Aviv Marina to old Jaffa. Unmatched breakfast (even though Kosher). Large and comfortable room with breathtaking Med view. All that said, the place definitely needs a face-lift inside and out. The signature rainbow on the west face looks good from far but up close not so much. Missing mosaic tiles don't let that stop you. It's a great place to stay.
The best days of the place seems to be a thing of the past.
Colors and details show the age of the last renovation.
I had an issue in my room (water dripping from the ceiling) that was promptly fixed.
The complimentary lounge is a nice thing if you don't feel like exploring the night life after a long day of work.
All considered I would never willingly pay the regular price they ask.
great hotel. the restaurants are great and the other facilities fine. there is parking excluded, but it's convenient. positioned in very good place in the middle of tel Aviv
This hotel is a fabulous high end hotel with a wonderful location in Tel Aviv. As do most high end hotels, The Dan caters to a wide variety of guests and it's evident that they ensure all of their guests feel comfortable and home. The food here is the highest level of quality and kosher. Shabbat breakfast was wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel.
Didn't allow to use toilet on Yom Kipur.
Shame on you!
It's a holiday where you should think 💠of what did you do.
Worse for reputation then walkin in the toilet.
Excellent location on the beach in Tel Aviv. Rooms are clean but dated. Staff is friendly and helpful.
The place looks outdated, but clean, the carpets smells but it's tolerable, the rooms are clean, I liked the beds, like 2 single beds together. They accommodated my son in the couch, he was comfortable. The pool is amazing, it's on the second floor, they have 2 an indoor and an outdoor, the place is big and comfortable, the food was very good, stayed there 3 days the breakfast and lunch selections were great, fresh food, I'm giving a 3 stars because the quality of the rooms and the elevators are very outdated, but is a nice place to spend your vacations.
A very convenient place to stay! With steps from the beach and all shopping and restaurants. I call Dan Tel Aviv "home" when I'm in Israel. They have the most fabulous breakfast buffet every morning with a myriad of fresh fruit and dishes to choose from. The staff is polite and extremely professional. They would go above and beyond to ensure your stay is a memorable one.
The hotel is old but has character. Too bad we got kicked out of the hotel because of overbooking. Unacceptable of course.
Hotel staff was horrid. Especially the front desk. If you are a luxury hotel the least you could do is be accommodating and courteous to your guests who are paying to stay at your hotel
Disappointing experience. Booked a deluxe $400+ room. When we got back late at night, we discovered the light didn't work in the room. Took 3 calls and 45 minutes for anyone to show up and confirm something was wrong. No practical solutions were offered, and there was no real attempt to compensate for a disappointing experience and service. Also echo comments on dated decor and electric sockets falling out.
Beautiful views and rooms. The lounge service was fantastic and front desk helped me with day trips. Great place.
The location is great although the hotel is a bit dated on the decor as some of the things like carpet in the rooms and fixtures in the bathroom are getting old. The staff is very friendly although service seems to be slow, needing to flag people quite often. Food seems expensive here to me although high quality. The dining area seems to be a destination for local family so on the weekend there are a lot of kids running around. Overall a nice place but not quite worth the expensive price tag in my opinion. Especially when being told there are no beach towels available for a beach front hotel.
Fantastic location and wonderful staff. Breakfast was also DELICIOUS with many options to choose from.
The most beautiful hotel in tel aviv. Great service!!!
Great breakfast! And the reception is very hard to beat. Staff is friendly and amazing. And the rainbow colored architecture is the icing on the cake.
high end hotel. wonderful breakfast
Good but old hotel. Nice beach view
