The staff were very slow with orders, the food in the bar wasn't nice and priced too highly, and they ran out of so many things, simple ingredients such as cheese. They also kicked us out of the rented house at 10am this morning. Whatever happened to a 12 o'clock check out? I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.

Calm, peaceful place for families and sports vacation. All green everywhere. Not much to do in the area though if you don't have a car. The staff and the Irish people are super friendly and kind. The breakfast was strange for my eating habits.

Modern hotel with nice rooms. Restaurant food was of good quality albeit with a surcharge for certain menu items. Drinks were quite expensive at 7.70 for glass of wine and 5.50 for a beer if I recall correctly. Overall did not quite live up to my admittedly high expectations.

Excellent service in The River Spa. The ladies working there are very nice and helpful. Myself and my mum had a lovely evening, massage was very relaxing and professional. Will definitely go back there again.

I feel that I might be doing this hotel a slight injustice but sometimes we need to ensure we are not going over the top.
I rated the hotel overall a 3-star rating. Would have given it 4 but it did not have air conditioning which is a basic in hotels these days and with the very warm weather we had at the time an electric fan in the room didn’t have the same effect.

    Hotel Accommodation Review

Journey: 9/10 - was not hard to find
Location: 8/10 - nice location just outside the town
Parking: 9/10 - plenty of spaces but some people need to learn how to park.
Reception: 8.5/10 - nice, big but a bit of maintenance required in some places.
Decor: 7/10 - nice but needs maintenance in places
Staff: 10/10 - always very nice and very accommodating.
Room: 6/10 - No Air Con, very little sockets
    Room Service: 7.5/10
Bar: 8/10 - pricey but staff again were brilliant and friendly
    Cost: 6.5/10

    Facilities
    Spa: 7.5/10
    Gym: 8/10
    Pool: 8/10
    Sauna: n/a
    Steam room: n/a
Golf: 6.5/10 - ok course. Pro shop doesn’t open until 8:30 which is very late. Pricey too considering there is nothing special about it - meaning I have played nicer courses for less.

    Restaurant
Food: 8/10 - nice but needs more variety
Service: 8/10 - need to be a bit more patient
Efficiency: 7/10 - some things on bill were not ordered
    Cleanliness: 8.5/10
    Menu Pricing: 8/10
    Menu Selection: 7.5/10

    Overall: 7/10

Recommend: Yes with a slight reservation
Will I return: Sure to see if improved.

Attended a wedding here and it was fantastic. Staff made it an amazing day. The self catering houses are very roomy and comfortable. My only quibble is that food and drink are a little on the dear side. All in all well recommended.

Very good hotel . but the food in the restaurant is excellent and such good value. Great and challenging golf course on site. Just check there isn.t a wedding booked when you stay. It can get noisy bedroom doors are very noisy.

Went for lunch with my 6 month old baby. Absolutely outstanding baby change room. Had everything I needed and more as a breastfeeding mum. Staff were brilliant too, asking if I needed anything else and was the room ok. Never been in a better baby change room EVER! Lunch was also delicious. Would recommend anyone with a baby to definitely visit. A***
