Good accommodation if you require a spot just to have an overnight sleep and intending to move on in your travels.

Excellent student dorm village with a great buzz. Also used for summer residency for summer schools in NUIG

Basic college accommodation, perfect for a stag party. Shuttle bus brings you into the city on the hour which was very handy.

Only downside was the early 10am check out time.

Student dorms rented out as hotel rooms in summer. I stayed in a single room. Its very basic. There is heater and towels are provided. The bathrooms were shared among 5 rooms.
Pros: the price was cheap. Overall the room was clean, the wi fi was good.
Cons: The sound isolation was terrible - you can hear every whisper in the room next to yours. There was some party going on outside at 4 am, and it was very hard to sleep. The hotel is 30 minutes walk from the city center. They have a free shuttle but it only runs between noon and 7 pm once an hour. The public bus also runs once an hour. The cab costs 8 euros.

The "apartments" are old university blocks which feel a bit like a prison cell. However the communal area is good for groups wanting to cook and plan activities etc. Popular with hen parties and stag dos there is a lot of noise and it carries throughout the building. If you want somewhere to relax then go somewhere else. If you want somewhere for a group party then it's perfect. We also had no hot water. As a positive, the reception staff were friendly and accommodating when we changed our reservation.

If you are a first year student trying to find accommodation for NUIG. Do not stay here whatsoever
    Firstly it's a complete shithole
All the facilities are extremely old and in very poor condition
The rooms ventilation is next to nothing ,
forcing you to leave the heatinh on during the day which leads to overpriced electricity bills

For what you pay the rooms are ridiculous

The main issue tho is the The security is way too strict,
they throw out fines for absolutely nothing claiming it's anti social behaviour.
If you have more than 6 people in your house they are told to get out

Basically I could go on for days about how useless corrib village is but the main thing to gain from reading this is to not stay here ever

Don't expect anything great from here. Very basic. It has what you need and no more. As student accommodation, you can't get any better of an atmosphere.

Calm, comfortable and close to the shop street, loved each day I've spent there.
