Stayed here with their family deal - family room, one dinner, breakfast each morning and a zoo pass. Well worth the money as the zoo pass is worth 49 euros by itself.

Hotel had comfortable beds, room size was good, front of house staff were friendly.

Dinner was excellent for a hotel, tasty, good portions and good choice for a set menu.

Good selection for breakfast although they could sweep the floor between guests as I found there was lots of crumbs etc on the floor which kind of takes away from the breakfast.

Location wise very handy as it's about 20 minutes from the airport and then 2 minutes from the hotel to the m50

Sound proofing in rooms is about average.

Worth staying in if you need somewhere close to everything but don't want to stay in the centre of town

We have stayed in the Clarion in Liffey Valley every October for the past 3 years and this is the first year where we were truly let down. We paid for a Family room and upon arrival were told we would be placed in an apartment. When we questioned why, the unfriendly receptionist just said it was better and pointed across the car park to the entrance. She did not tell us about the facilities of the hotel, breakfast times or anything you would expect. When we found our apartment on the ground floor, it was spacious and clean although unfortunately my son's bed was just an erected camp bed placed beside the cold back balcony door. We had to move the furniture around so that the bed was not directly beside the patio door as we did not want him to get a chill during the night. We had dinner in the restaurant, to one thing that thankfully hasn't changed with the ownership, the gusto restaurant was delicious as always and the staff very friendly. Our server was very nice to our son and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. When we went back to our room, the radiators had been turned off and the large apartment was quite cold. We tried to figure it out and get it going ourselves but the radiators were turned on but must have been turned off by the hotel. I rang the front desk but there was no answer, I rang twice more that night, between around 9.30pm and 10.30pm but did not reach anyone. The sitting room by this point was much colder and not wanting our son to sleep in a cold room, we had to have him sleep in with us. We did not have the best sleep, having 3 of us in the bed, and awoke looking forward to breakfast. Thankfully, the breakfast selection has also remained unchanged and the food was delicious and plentiful. The staff member who seated us however, clearly does not like her job. Not even a good morning, she wanted us to sit in the long middle table, a server was clearing the table where there were three empty seats, but they were not together. When the desk woman showed us the table, she walked off to seat another family, leaving us standing in the middle of the room. When she passed again, I asked her if there was somewhere else we could sit, as there were lots of free tables, but she snapped that "they weren't set" and walked off again. The server was a lovely gentleman and overheard this and said to follow him and he would set us a booth if we could wait a moment. We were seated and enjoyed our breakfast thanks to the gentleman server. We then went for a swim, as we do every year but the pool was quite cold in comparison to last year. We packed up and were checked out by the same rude woman from breakfast who didn't even ask if we had enjoyed our stay. All in all, our third stay at this hotel but our first at a Clayton Hotel and I dare say we may not be back next year.

Great staff. Professional and friendly. Clean facility and very stylish. Gusto has great food for supper and the breakfast setup was wonderful. Easy access to local arteries and walking distance from the mall. Would recommend staying here again.
My only pause was the water temperature fluctuating constantly. Made a 5 minute shower take 10 minutes.

What we liked about the Clarion:
    - The mattresses were firm.
    - The staff tried hard to be friendly.

What we didn’t like about the Clarion:
    - The hotel was understaffed.
    - The reception area was small and chaotic. It was more like checking in at the airport than a hotel.
    - Our room was small and lacked charm.
    - The closet wasn’t much bigger than my suitcase.
    - The toilet did not flush properly.
    - There was rubbish on the carpets in the halls - it stayed there for days.
    - Breakfast: took ages to get seated; plates and glasses were dirty; buffet ran out of food quickly
    - The fitness studio: ancient equipment, dirty floors and only one old mat for floor exercises

A nice modern hotel with helpful staff. The food in Gusto restaurant was delicious. Pints of beer top-notch. We had a family deal with our stay, which we think was the best value for money around.

We had a really fantastic break at Clarion Hotel Liffey Valley. It started with a bright and professional check in from Nadine, who gave us 2 of our 4 rooms and very politely advised us the other 2 rooms would be ready within 30 minutes, and they were ready just as she said.
The reception was always busy but not crowded, buses seemed to leave people of and very quickly they were all going through the doors to the rooms, leaving the sofas in the lobby free for us to sit and have a cocktails or coffee. Sign of very efficient staff.
Had dinner in the Kudos bar, we were very quickly seated and it seemed no trouble to arrange for the 12 of us to sit together, lovely easy pace for dinner. Natalie was so pleasant and arrange for our drinks to be carried to our table, even when I could remember an item on the final bill, nothing was to much trouble explaining what it was. very professional.
The youngest member of our group was very taken by INA all she needed was sparkles in her hair and she was Frozen. she was so good and very good at her job, again nothing was too much trouble..
Could go on and on Kevin in the bar was great but would take all day we will be back for our Christmas shopping get together. Cant say enough positive things, well done Clarion. we would not by pass you ever if we need to stay in Dublin.

Staff are very friendly at this hotel! The hotel needs a few of the finer details worked on to get a higher rating. The Coffee Bar is amazing but not open on weekends. We sat in the restaurant for an hour at the breakfast buffet and never got service. Room amenities are minimal but the room was CLEAN & COMFORTABLE. We stayed here for the U2 concert and they had a shuttle arranged, access to the City Centre on the city bus is very easy from this location.

Family of 6. I checked in only my own while my husband went on a trip with my son. I had a 5, year ol, 3 year old a 1 year old, a double buggy and a bag on my back. Very disappointed that a basic greeting of help with doors as there were lots or at least help with my bags were not offered.
My husband felt a similar disinterest from reception staff, not overly helpful.
We booked it for the pool ,kids area and outdoor playground and they lived up to expectations. Loved the pool

Lovely hotel, High quality and staff friendly and helpful. Although we had an issue of no hot water, the Manager was extremely helpful in moving us to equivalent suite at reduced rate. Many thanks.

PS hot water issue was due to hotel being fully booked on the first day causing water pressure issues in the morning.

The food was amazing, fabulous dinner in the Italian, lovely breakfast. Room was nice and clean. I felt the package we got was really good value for money. Only problem we had was there was lots of noise in the hall and from rooms on our floor, which I wouldn't have expected being so far away from the city centre. We had to call security twice, really put a downer on our stay as we didn't have a great nights sleep. I have five stars on all the ratings as it is the truth we just happened to be there on the wrong night.

Overall a pretty enjoyable stay. It's twelve months since I last stayed in this hotel and not a whole appears to have changed other than now having to pay for parking which I personally think is just price gouging with another name. For some reason it is difficult to get a pot of tea at breakfast. They have herbal teas and coffee at the buffet but a pot of normal tea, I waited five minutes for mine.

Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The lady at check-in was in training but very efficient none the less.

No-frills out of town hotel. Some rooms at the far end are really spacious and look higher-end but they are all the same.

I have had good and bad experiences here so I can confidently say this is a good place to stay but expect no more than what it offers.

Breakfast is average. No natural juice, no natural fruit and everything seems to be too greasy on the meaty side. Quite a disappointment if you regularly travel across Europe and see what similar hotels have on offer.

If you enjoy an early breakfast be aware that often they have some issues kicking things off (getting the juices, bread, etc. On site).

Otherwise, staff are helpful and efficient and will get things done. They can be slightly cold, though.

    Enjoy your stay.
