this is where we go for a good French meal and good service while relatively affordable.
The perfect place for lunch or dinner. Great food, fantastic staff and very good value for your money.
The food was great. Very tasty. We were a large group so it took a while for everyone to get their orders.
I was out the back found it very cold and draught coming at one end and blowing hot air at the other. Menu not a great variety for lunch.
Good service and very nice terrace, the best I've seen in Dublin so far. Food however is not at the standards of French cuisine. I've tasted much better especially in Dublin and in France.
I just found out Chez Max Baggot St is closed until 28th of august for renovation. I cant wait until they reopen. I absolutely love that place. The food is so good, great wines and best of all it has a great atmosphere. I really love the moules frites and the codfish. The terrace is definitely my favorite spot in the restaurant. I definitely recommend this place. Not just if you are looking for a french restaurant but if you are looking for a good restaurant to have enjoy. Just great.
One of my favourite places for simple authentic French bistro food. Nice wine list too.
Just alright. The food is good but pretty average honestly. Serving time for lunch are insanely long, I have been there with a group of 10 and the restaurant was basically empty other then us, it took them 1 hour to serve the food so basically all our lunch break.
Also they speak French all the time, I understand that we're i na French restaurant but as you see that I'm foreign could you talk to me in English, please?
Excellent staff and food never disappoints.
Lovely, quaint restaurant. Beautiful food. A bit of a shock to the system when you step outside and you're in Dublin, you expect to be in the south of France. Highly recommend the food here
Chez Max is delicious. I have lived in Dublin for more than half a year now and just tried it. It is very good I got the steak and it was fantastic! The strawberry tart dessert was amazing. They have a ton of space, and a retractable roof in the summer! It's the perfect place to eat you have to try it!
Nice to be able to order some French food that's difficult to find in Dublin (such as raclette) but overall the food isn't exceptional. Staff is quite arrogant.
In need of a great meal after a flight from Glasgow, Chez Max didn't disappoint. Great dinner with a perfectly fine steak. Happily go again.
