Excellent food - the standard is so high in Dublin these days but these guys are right up there. Beautiful Asian cuisine in a very well fitted out spot. Jacob is a gentleman.

Very nice food and good service. A bit on expensive side but its worth to try. One of the sauces with duck was too sweet for me, but I liked that idea that they sereve lime dressing to refresh your palet.

Great pub, huge amount of space, which is hard to imagine from outside. There are 3 floors including a rooftop bar, ideal for sunny summers or for smokers. The food is also delicious, strongly recommend having some drinks and trying out some of the options on the menu!

Tasty but if you're looking to eat some authentic Asian food (and especially if you're into spicy foods) then I would stay away. A bit on the pricey side. Cocktails are pretty good though, and the staff is friendly.

Great decor, great food, alright service. Drinks were forgotten and still had to pay for them. But otherwise - one of only 2 places outside of Laos that I've found green papaya salad and it was amazing!

This is my favorite place to eat some viet/Thai food. They do the best Gyoza in Dublin and trust me I tried several restaurants! The noodles are really tasty too. I appreciated the fact that they also have a lot of vegetarian options! I also love the design of this place!

Wow
What does that wow mean? Lots of things. The interior designer did a fantastic wow job. But some of the things are wow, like wow, what are you thinking?
Some of the staff were obviously hired to have an attitude, while others have a shining personality. One of the attitude ones had me in disbelief while sitting at the bar one night. Which reminds me, the mixed drinks were not great but still pricey But served with an attitude to boot? Wow.
Some of the menu items taste like a madman is concocting them as a science experiment back in the laboratory, with the desserts being particularly Frankensteinish. An example was the end of one of our experiences here that featured some kind of banana abomination puddle-on-a-plate thing. I can't even believe anyone let it out of the kitchen. At least it was expensive.
It all goes together in a surreal way. I cannot possibly imagine savvy and aged restauranteurs running any place this way but maybe, who knows? Maybe it was a bumpy stretch for them or maybe (hopefully not) this is a trend.response / report this review -

The music venue is okay, decent acoustic, but sometimes they clearly overbook the place and it become a very loud sauna where you try to seek for some fresh air.

The food was incredible. We did the shared meal with our whole table. The cook modified the entire meal to accommodate a gluten allergy in our group. The drinks were amazing.

The food at Opium was good - not great but good. And the service was extremely friendly. The issue diners should note is that the venue is also a club, and the music and scene were a significant distraction from the meal.

I've eaten here for lunch couple of times and food is pretty good. I liked the quality of the ingredients. I had a curry and it was tasty and fresh. It's good for group lunches since it's big and accepts reservations.

Hidden up an alleyway, absolute gem of a place. As far as I know the front of this place is an Indian restaurant? Went here with a couple of mates, Oliver Dollar was on that night. Cheap entry, good staff and great drink promotions (considering Dublin is pretty expensive). 2 rooms and a VIP upstairs with some comfy couches to sit on. Quality venue for a rave, highly recommended 🎵
