On my first overnight visit, the hotel is as excellent as the previously often visited Bistro restaurant (AKA the Fish Market)

NO STARS..Worst service ever. Got up and left after the staff ignored me, my wife and her friend and served people who arrived after us before asking what we wanted.. They didn't have the menu items that was ordered.
Staff were rude. We went across the street to the White house which was a 5 star experience.

We came here for a more up class pub meal but we're disappointed in all our meals. The fresh scallops we had for entree were smothered with onions and sauce and deep fried (they said tempura). I'm sure they were great scallops but we couldn't taste them as they were overpowered. My husband had the fish pies - tasteless - and I had the lobster ravioli. I don't know what they did but it wasn't nice. I did like the drinks.

There's always room at the Blue Haven. The staff are great and they will always try to find a seat for you. Friendly place with a great atmosphere

My daughter and I happened upon the restaurant and what a lovely surprise this place turned out to be. We enjoyed DELICIOUS food accompanied by a charming music trio. Then two beautiful river dancers came out. It was dinner and a show! When we left, we thanked the trio for providing such a nice evening. They asked where we were from, then grabbed my 16 year old daughter and had her sing along with them. She was beyond happy. I was so happy that we "discovered" this little gem. My only disappointment was that we were too full to try one of the unbelievable ice cream sundaes!

Had lunch there recently and was not overly pleased unfortunately. Food was very greasy, and overpriced for what it was, service was average too. Far better places in Kinsale to consider, even for an affordable lunch

I enjoy going here on Sunday evening for Trad., meeting the girls for tea or a glass of wine. It's also lovely for dinner out once in a while. Lovely staff, prices aren't too high, food is good.
