Always a treat to escape for a night to Beckett's Hotel. A short walk around the corner brings you to The Salmon Leap, where we always lunch prior to checking-in. The food at Beckett's restaurant itself is excellent, with a great value early bird menu available too. Michelle and all the staff really make you feel welcome. Some tea, toast, and fresh salmon for breakfast and we're away again, already planning our next stay.

We went here for dinner on my Mum's birthday, and everyone had a great time. I ate the ham hock and chicken terrine (pictured), the chicken wrapped in bacon, which was tender and juicy, unlike sometimes when you order chicken breast in a restaurant, and the banoffee meringue pie. I'm normally a savoury type of person, but that lie was to die for.

Also, we were very impressed with the service, particularly being a group of 8. Our starters came promptly, our mains arrived after a respectable amount of recovery time, as did our puddings (I say recovery times because all the portions were very generous). Our waitress went above and beyond, and had them put a candle in Mum's pudding, and wrote out Happy Birthday elaborately in chocolate on the plate.

The setting is lovely, the loos were clean, and my Mum had a fantastic birthday. Thanks everyone at Beckett's!

Everything was perfect except the size of the bed in our suite,we have a king size bed at home so it felt very small. Im 6 foot tall and my feet were over the end of the bed.

Had a family dinner here of ten adults and a pair of babies, they sat us in a lovely solarium and let us while away the hours between the lunch and dinner sittings. The quick exit to the garden was a big plus for one of the babies who was a fan of the grass and gravel. The server broke a salt shaker while clearing the table, and I thought that was very considerate since it's usually me who is the first to break something.

Serves top quality food. It was quiet the night we were there. I hope it's making money. Would be a shame to lose such a great restaurant.

Great spot for a bite to eat in Leixlip. Food always top-notch & you're always guaranteed a perfectly cooked steak. Big shout-out to the staff here who always make your visit special.

This is a very small hotel upstairs a restaurant, and it does have the feel of it being more of a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel with a restaurant! Staff were nice and breakfast was basic (no cooked breakfast as such). Rooms were small but comfortable and very clean. It was a good option for us given it was cheaper (although I wouldn't call it cheap!) than booking somewhere in the city centre but my advice would be to book early and somewhere closer to town if possible!
