Easy access. Right at the center of the medan city. Short walk to many interesting places and shops.

The best ever ** hotel. Very recommended for travellers. Location pretty close with train station. Food availability around the area is more than sufficient.

Good location, in the central area, only 10 mins walk to Merdeka Walk, 5 - 10 mins drive Railink Train Station (train to Kualanamu Airport). The hotel is located just the opposite of Tip Top restaurant, a legendary restaurant in Medan.
A good place to stay for a short or long trip, business or leisure.

Great location, walking distance to the iconic TIP TOP restaurant and Tjong A Fie mansion.
Love the new concept of the rooms.

*Poor cleanliness - fairly dirty in most parts.
*Strong smell of cigarette smoke coming in through gaps in door and windows.
    *This place is very basic!
I know its Indonesia but you at least expect some level of cleanliness. We've stayed in backpacker guest houses and hostels cleaner and nicer than this place. The room was a decent size but quite dirty with many cobwebs in the corners of the room. No window in the bedroom. The walls had something smeared on them. One of the lights next to the bed didnt work and there was exposed wiring.
Bathroom a bit grotty but at least everything worked just about. The windows were fastened shut but with a gap so you can hear all the street noise and the smell of cigarette smoke fills the bathroom from outside. Everyone seems to smoke in this town. People also smoke in the corridors and it was also very loud inside the hotel with other guests screaming and shouting at each other for some reason after midnight. The AC worked thankfully and the bed was hard. Nice that there were 2 medium sized towels in the room and some water.

(+) Cheap hotel very near the Medan City center.
(+) Hot water and A/C were strong enough.
    (+) Room 408 was quiet.
(+) For price (Superior Room 211.000 throught Traveloka) good breakfast (fried rice, noodles, chicken, sausage, eggs, toast, butter, jam, iced cucumber water and tea/coffee without milk).
(+) Rooms were clean but little bit older
(-) Rooms without windows and with only one very low wat bulb.
(-) Bathroom very narrow, so you can't sit on toilet.
(-) Bathroom looks dirty, but because already old not well cleaned ceramic.
(-) Old towels - already not white at all.
When you want non smoking room, you have to mention it in your reservation.

"Location might be good but the facilities could be improved”

Actually, the main purpose of this choice is to cost-down. In talking about the location, this place is good and pretty close to one of the tourist hot spots, the Tjong A Fie's Mansion and also the Merdeka Walk. But in terms of the facilities in this hotel, is not what I expected at the beginning. Because it is just on the road side, so the traffic or crazy cars (motorbike) race will sometimes pass by which seriously affect my sleeping quality. And talking about the room, I don't know why but it's always very humid. Especially for the restroom, I really don't like the damp in it. Although it supplied hot water for shower and also a clean enough toilet for answering nature calling, I still don't like an in-ventilated restroom.

Great location, right opposite Tip Top restaurant.

Stayed in a small windowless room but with the basic necessities. The sink was outside the bathroom which was peculiar.

    Reception staff was very friendly.

    WiFi available.

This budged hotel is located in the heart of Medan city. Cheap doesn`t mean bad, this is what make me cozy to stay here, with only 200.000 rupiahs I can get a clean, tidy, and free access internet room, beside that I can sleep very well in that room, because no such of a noisy sounds near there except the activities of the city, loved that! In the evening, you will be very easy to go out because there are a lot of taxi passed this main road. Another good reasons, there are a historical restaurant in front of its hotel, tip top retaurant which is built by hollands ppl during 1800 yrs, and there is a historical chinese museum (tjong a fie memorial house) just in a few houses berore you reach this hotel. It`s awesome!

we booked the room thru Agoda. Upon checked in, we found the room so disappointing with no wash basin. Floor was tiled and cold, beddings looks more like used linens, walls were dirty. bathroom was dirty and in need of a good scrub. no soap and dirty looking towels. indeed what an apetite!!!
we ended up with payment of 40,000 rupiahs for a decent room which is equally bad except the wash basin had water dribbling from the poorly maintained tap.
Glad we only booked for one nite. How coukd Agoda ever get such hotel under their grouping let alone representing and sell such facilities.
