First time here, dan wow..still amazes me. It is trully an international airport, huge and magnificent. It's located in Deli Serdang, so you need to take another ride to travel to Medan. It has buses, train, large parking lot. With city bus directly to Medan, you'll have to pay 20 thousand rupiahs, air conditioned bus, one and a half hour ride. With train, you'll have to pay 100thousand rupiahs, but 30 minutes ride to Medan, and with sophisticated train.

Big, spacious airport with an A&W restaurant among several others. Friendly staff who can help you convert money, buy a SIM card, hire a taxi, or buy a domestic flight. The airport is also very clean on the inside.

menuju kesini perlu perjuangan extra.

akses jalan yang macet dan jarak yang jauh dari pusat kota Medan. Dari pusat kota (lap merdeka) diperlukan waktu 1 jam 20 menit ~ 2 jam kalau mau naik kendaraan pribadi (mobil).

Taksi bandara juga gak jelas, Argo nya gak ada yang di segel, semua di cheat sehingga dari bandara menuju garu 2 bisa kena 180 ribu. terlalu mahal .

Tetapi terlepas dari itu semua, di dalam bandara cukup oke, petunjuk arah jelas, wifi juga kencang, toilet bersih dan wangi, tempat makan dan belanja banyak. TOP

Good airport, not quite big but it cover all facilities. An accident happen when arrived here, a child leg was confined in the escalator. The airport staff hurry help the mom. Need to have clear warning not to let children under age 5 to walk by their self.

This airport is surely one of the most clean and futuristic airport in Indonesia. Takes few hours from here to Medan. The architecture is great. Good place to take some picture.

The wifi is so slow. And why there is must be a security check (x-ray) at international departure after the immigration checkpoint? It's not efficient at all.
After all, for the services and infrastructures, Kualanamu is one of the best airports in Indonesia. Hope soon to be better, especially the officers must rid off every careless smokers, build more smoking areas. If they did it, the atmosphere would be better.

So far great modern airport at Indonesia. A lot of F&B outlets, fashion stores, mini market, good transportation connectivity especially rail service to the city. WiFi quality is not bad but need to be improved. Clean toilet. Green environment. The operator needs to increase the service quality and facilities to be able to compete with other international airport at the region

One of the best airport in indonesia! It’s HUGE, got so many shops and restaurant. The integrated transportation is superb too! The toilet is clean, and the check-in counter is enormous. The interior design is great, modern with indonesian touch!

From my point of view, this airport should be considered as the 2nd biggest and modern airport in Indonesia after new terminal 3 ultimate in Jakarta. One of the Indonesian development. Clean, Comfortable and modern.

Nice airport facilities. Such as
Free wifi. Free Rest area allow u to lying down.

Cons:
1. It is about 1+hours from Medan city.
2. Don't buy sim inside the airport building when u arrived. Just walk out, u can find stall selling same brand with much cheaper rate!

The airport is quite large, has complete facilities. The building is a modern concept and opened in 2013, but the arrival and departure of domestic and international passengers are still quiet, so the airport has not been maximized its use, there are still lots of vacant land and shops, maybe in the future if the tourism of North Sumatra improve and become better, It will be crowded visited.

Yes, it is one of the best airports in Indonesia, but Ngurah Rai Airport on Bali is more nice. I like the train to airport, because the traffic in Medan is always very heavy and crazy. There could be chargers directly at waiting chairs. At international departure terminal aren't cheap indonesian restaurants, so when your flight is delayed you cannot to go to eat somewhere out.

One of the Best International Airport in Indonesia. its New and Modern. also it is the first Indonesia Airport that has been integrated with RailLink (Airport Train) so you can easily reach Downtown just by taking this train. And, one of the most important thing is, this is the prides airport for North Sumatra Community. it need 30 minutes by train to go to this airport, and less then 1 hour if you go by car or via the public road.

Airport is pretty neat for the class of airport in Indonesia. There are self check-in machines. Security checking is really smooth (you have to follow the basic rules). Notwithstanding, there are some facilities that are not consistent and unusable. Wifi is slow, at least when I am here, but sometime it can be blazing fast. Computers that are in internet spot basically are just gimmick. They are not connected to the internet and contradict with the "internet spot".

Place itself is neat and tidy, there's a bit about it that reminds you of Singapore's Changi Airport. However it's really far from the city, in which traveling by car takes about an hour (going roughly 70mph/120kmh). Highway to the airport is pretty scary, as there's no street lights. There's also train service to and from the town center, costing IDR 100.000,- per seat.

The best international airport in Indonesia in my opinion. The toilets are clean and so is the airport, the temperature is cool, and the wifi is good. So recommended for you who would like to travel to North Sumatera.

This airport clean and have good standard. If you come to Medan for visit Lake Toba and samosir island thats need 4hours heading. Just go to taxi counter named "nice taxi" the cost is 80k

Overall is good, execpt the train airport link. The fare is too expensive. Why dont make it like singapore airport link that using mrt that have low ticket price. So the train isnt only for the "high-level" people.

Very bad security screening system and very inconvinience.. All passenger must get trough main entrance screening.. Especially passenger coming by train.. 1 unit Screening is located at the end of escalator entrance to main airport building which cause long que.. and then the second 4 unit screening for all flight passengers at the center of departure hall after 4 electric gate.. Where the security prepare 2 lines only.. Just imagine if there are 10 flights only within 2 hours.. There will be more then 1200 peoples to be screen.. There are only 2 boarding hall at domestic flight area.. Why not simply put 2 screening unit at the boarding hall entrance??? Just imagine international flight passenger must go trough the que for screening and then must que again for immigration.. And afterward anorher que again for security screening at boarding hall??? I believe there will be a lot of delay caused by this system and maybe some passenger will be left by the carrier KNIA airport management must do something to improve the quality of services.. This is the best airport in Indonesia at the moment.. But based on the condition happening now.. I doubt it.. Dont you the management feel ashame???

There is no water or other liquids on the other side of the final security checkpoint to get to the waiting area at the gates for international flights. Because these are international flights you aren't allowed to bring in liquids, which is fine. Most airports then provide a bubbler, vending machine or cafe to enable passengers to have a drink while they wait for their flight. After not drinking for an hour we went back outside the secure area and sat on the floor (because there aren't any chairs in the area between customs and the security check at the gates) so that we could have a drink after buying a bottle of water from the duty free. It's a pretty serious design flaw, and hopefully one that they fix. I recommend waiting in the domestic area on the other side of customs for as long as you can

Good variety of food options, some international chains and many local chains, but seems like a little more pricey than town. A few convenience store and a few food souvenir shops (pricey)

Free wifi available, but only work if you stand very near, otherwise many areas has poor coverage.

One of the best airport in Indonesia.

Airport express train is just across from the exit/entrance and go directly to town centre. Pretty on time even tough feels slow. Avoid cart number 1 as this is noisiest.
