Similar to other Amaris Hotel, strategic location and good service standard and good breakfast too. Amaris is one of the best choices when visiting a city. Only the problem of narrow parking makes it less convenient when we bring our own vehicle.

PRO - Reasonable price to stay since its located above Thamrin City Mall downstairs. Good breakfast.
CONS - No water flow from the shower at all. There is a window in our room but quite scary because there is dark and empty lane outside the window.

The only upside is the location very convenient as the ladies market selling all sort of ladies clothings is just below the hotel. So it is very strategic.
However the hotel is poorly managed. The aircond was not cold at all. I couldn’t sleep at night because of the aircond wasn’t working and the aircond is located above the main entrance of the room and it is blocked by a beam which makes the circulation of the air very limited. The toilet stinks of sewerage smells that come out from the hole at the shower area.
Also hospitality of the staff is very average. I asked for an extra water bottle but was refused and I was told that I have to pay IDR10,000.00 for 1 bottle. In comparison to other hotels I have stayed in my entire 40 years of life, the hotel should not and would not be calculative with their bottled water. So this brings down my overall weightage for this hotel.
Overall I give only 2 rating.

Shops nearby, clean room. My suggestion is the bathroom cleanliness need to be improve. Good selection of breakfast menu.

Stayed here 1 night for business trip. My opinion about this hotel :

Pro :
1. Great location! Located on 6th floor of one of biggest middle class shopping centre in Jakarta, very easy access to central Jakarta office area. There are many resto on food court area, it's very easy to have meal here.
2. Hotel workers & recepcionist were very friendly compared to other business hotels in Jakarta.
3. Non smoking room was nice enough, I didn't smell anything strange in room, and bed was comfortable enough.

Con :
1. Lack of in-room facility (water heather, fridge), and out-room facility (pool, fitness centre, etc).
2. Price is too high compared to facility
3. Too small locker in room, beware if you bring big laptop or camera with big lens.
4. Food taste was average (but fried rice was tasty enough)
5. Very crowded in the morning.

For now I can only give 6,5/10 but there are still room for improvement, I hope this hotel will be better next time. It is one of the best priced hotel in central jakarta area, still recommended if you were on business or shopping trip on. Thamrin city area.

not as I expected
I book the room for 3 nights, but finally decide move out on 2nd night

The hotel located on the 6th floor of thamrin city mall

Pro : Strategic Location, just a few minutes walk to Grand Indonesia and Plaza Indonesia

Cons:
1. The room is not soundproof, I can hear clearly people passing by and chatting outside of my room
2. The food is pretty standard, not many variations and lacks of quantity
On my first morning, there's no more food left even though it's only 9 am
3. The Shower is terrible, I think the heater broke down or something Lack of water pressure too..
4. There is no Laundry Service

Location is superb..just next to Thamrin City and Grand Indonesia Mall. The room is small, no mini fridge available. Wouldn't hurt them if they put one. The room has cockroaches and mosquitoes..that was the spoiled part.

A good place to stay especially when your purpose is to do shopping in mid to high-end malls in Jakarta. This is very close to Thamrin City, Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia and even to Tanah Abang shopping center and a lot more

This hotel look like a transit hotel around airport. Very standart room. Nothing special. You get toothbrush without cover (like after use) you get only 1 slippers and the shower and water very bad. The positive point is the location is really in the downtown (sometime traffic jam everywhere) and surrounding with shopping centre.

If you want budget hotel in prime area. This is the one. Difficult if you brong a car coz the way to parking lot is quite easy to get lost. Not so easy to find taxi or other transportation specially in the morning. And the staff cant help you either.
