The ambiance of the hotel is very good! The view of the chain bridge and Buda castle from the hotel is lovely, especially liked it by the night when the lights are turned on! Very friendly staff. Overall had a great experience!

Great hotel and perfect location overlooking the river, Palace and Chain bridge. Perfect for exploring the city. Upgrade to Executive Lounge access for peace, food and drink on tap. Fantastic staff and attentive service

Having experienced many Intercontinental hotels across Europe we knew what to expect from the brand and had booked a room with a river view and Club lounge access. The room was nice enough however I have to agree with some of the other review comments with regards to the size and maintenance of the rooms. I have to say that the river views are amazing, overlooking the castle, funicular and chain bridge although the Spoon 'boat' restaurant is a little shabby looking compared to the rest of the view.

The Club lounge is included with certain room types but is otherwise 70EUR per room/night which includes a buffet breakfast, afternoon tea and a happy hour (17:00 to 20:00) with spirits, wine and canapes. I would say that the lounge is worth it if you have booked the room but doubt that the 70EUR would represent value for money. You can get a local beer outside of the happy hour times but no wine which is a shame. I do have to say that the canapes are outstanding although you have to order to your table as a set of three rather than just picking what you like which is slightly odd.

Budapest is a fantastic city and the hotel is an ideal base for sightseeing, the open top buses stop right outside for sightseeing and much of the tourist attractions are easily accessible by foot.

Nice hotel on bank of Danube river. Some staff a bit rude and don't value Indians much.. But otherwise good hotel. Services are a bit costly.

It's hard to beat the location at almost the very middle of the city. The Parliament is a 15 minute walk up the river. Buda Castle is almost directly across the river. Vaci and Andrassy streets are very close by. As for the hotel itself, it's filled with all the amenities you could ask for. The spa has good price points as well and certainly is worth it if you have the time and inclination. Had a view over the river and it was breathtaking. The breakfast was amazing and the coffees excellent. The gift shop included a lot of stuff made by local people, which I found pleasantly surprising. The price points for the shop was surprisingly competitive. The bar had lots of drink options but it was expensive as hotel bars usually are.

Had a very good night here. I used my annual "free" credit card rewards night to spend my last night here in Budapest after spending several nights in more modest accommodations. So while I didn't directly pay for the room, I gave up the ability to use that reward for any other property, and I'm very happy with my decision.

When I checked in they upgraded me to a nicer room with a view (I didn't even ask, I think they just had the space), so that was great. It was a very nice room, besides the view the room was clean and modern with very high pressure in the shower. Only thing that wasn't great is the complimentary wifi was a bit slow (although they have paid options if you need higher speed).

So this is an old hotel with old rooms and the exterior also doesn't look much . Make sure your know this before booking. Otherwise look into the four season.

Besides that everything else is great. Best location possibly in the entire Budapest. Amazing view from most rooms to the castle district and chain bridge. Great service. Good outside bar downstairs and excellent area for everything.

The hotel was to be the highlight of the trip. However, there seemed to be bedbugs in the bed causing mom's body to be swollen over 10 places, and she could not get any sleep that night.
Finding it out in the morning, I made a claim to the hotel manager, but no apology was returned but just a room change to unready same size room.
Comparing to the previous room, there was only one bed and two towels, slipers. While asking for an extra bed and towel, time was wasted and my family was unhappy. Also we asked the manager for after bite ointment, but manager refused to provide it and asked me to get it from the pharmacist.
The manager claimed it was a mosquito. There are a lot of mosquitoes in Seoul, so we know how a mosquito bite looks like. The pharmacist also said " It' not mosquitoe bites. It's bug bites."
What made our family more unpleasant was rude and a cover-up attitude from the manager.
In the end, we bought medicine with our money. Today is the second day in the hotel. Mom's whole body was ticklish, so she had to take shower several times in cold water and did not sleep well.
We want a sincere apology from the manager. Not an attitude to hide the fact that a family's 10,000km journey from far east was severely ruined due to bed bugs found in a 5 star hotel, but a sincere apology.

Food at the restaurant is among the best in Budapest. Sunday brunch IS the best as they have the best pay area for kids. It includes xbox, lego, play area with other toys, cinema, and professionals to do arts and crafts. If you get the ricer view room you have the best view in the city. Better view than 4 season, marriot, and ritz carton. Will go back soon. Also the number 2 tram stops right in front and goes along the whole river front, past the parlament and also all the way down to the Borasz square. Loved it

Great location and amazing view from the room. The rooms are a bit dated but nice. There are rooms with connecting doors. The breakfast is amazing with a very big variety.

Excellent views from the rooms on the river side, and very nice accommodations. The front desk staff could be a little friendlier, but at least the other employees seem to be very nice and courteous.

This hotel is in a pretty amazing location. It's right off the chain bridge, and a 5 minute walk to St. Stephens. Easily within walking distance of the Parliament and the Buda Castle district, including Fisherman's Bastion and all the other iconic views from atop the hill.
