Food and service is just splendid. Hungarian oriented cuisine, so the dishes have typical Hungarian basics, but in a revitalized/modernized fashion. Good for the traditionalists and also the modernists, may be insufficient for the fancy Michelin-star hunters. For ordinary folk it is just perfect.
Advance booking is recommended, because it is generally full. When it is full, it may be a bit noisy, so not candle-lit calmness :) Good for company diners, for smaller groups (10-30 people).
Cash or AMEX is accepted, other cards are not.
Nice, cosy place with lovely dishes. Reservation is a must
Nice staff and nice dishes. Just a reminder, they only accept cash or American Express.
Nice cosy restaurant. Home feeling. Dishes are simple but sufficient. Also cheap food
Great for dinners. Cosy atmosphere, reasonable prices.
Very good Hungarian food. Very similar to Mediterranean food in case you are looking for eating other than Goulash. It is a bit small and thus it is better to book a table.
First meal in Budapest. Wonderful food. Wonderful wine. Wonderful service. Order their specials. Delicious Hungarian cooking.
I normally do not write reviews but since we finished our dinner at cafe kor last night, 13.6, I could not stop thinking about how the host lady totally ruined our night. Not only that she appeared unfriendly from the start, she made very inappropriate comment when we were paying to leave. I myself work in hospitality industry and I can't understand why people like her work in customer service!!! Rude rude rude. Please cafe kor teach your staff manners!! Food was nice but not extraordinary. Had better for the price in Budapest.
Great filet steak with carrot sauce. Perfectly cooked. Wait staff dual language and made good recommendations. Lively atmosphere. Fabulous selection of daily specials.
Great home-style cuisine, always nice service. You can sample traditional Hungarian dishes there. Their duck breast is the best. It is always packed in the evening, so book your table ahead of your visit.
Authentic Hungarian food in the city center without being too touristy nor pricy. The food is meat heavy and a main dish is around 1,500-2,200. Knockle was the best I have had there. Reservation is recommended!
I liked the atmosphere and the staff, but don't go here if you don't like meat ;) Most dishes are big piles of meat and some potatoes, but very little vegetables.
It's a great place to visit not only for business lunch or celebration. It's an everyday place to eat out. Of course it's not cheap but very tasty food is served. Especially the Hungarian dishes. The staff is very gentle and nice to the guests.
The food was tasty and very fresh, well sheltered flavors. Delicious spinach cake. Very friendly and helpful Staff. However it smell a little bit at the restaurant.
