It is worth getting away from the Budapest center to this quiet neighborhood of small houses.

The chocolate museum is more of a passionate collection. Located in a huge house with a basement dedicated to the lovers of Pálinka.
So many chocolate related items in this collection that they can make this huge house look a little crowded.
The guide was great. She had so much knowledge on the subject and about the items on exhibition.
The tour take about 2 hours and we have been treated as honor guests.
Tasted an assortment of chocolate during the tour and had tea and cake.

They also have a small shop in case you haven't had enough chocolate.

I expected to get to know kore about the chocolate but apparently this is a beautiful place owned by a chocolate factory and provides some fun activity with chocolate and then a brief liquor tasting in the basement.
We have been guided in English and have been offered about 5 chocolate pieces, 1 hot chocolate, 1 fudge cake and one chocolate that we molded ourselves. It costed 20€ which you should pay in cash.

There is a shop inside that you can buy some chocolate, tea and liquor there. you can pay with credit card in the shop.

it is easily accessible if you use normal bus lines. just load and offline the map on your phone and when you got there look for a beautiful garden and fancy door and fences (photos attached).

Only in Hungarian, the selection of chocolates was meager, and the history section was an old video show. Much more can be learned by googling chocolate. Very expensive shop at the end of the tour.

Lovely trip. The journey wasn't too bad at all. Take the m2 to the final stop then cross the road and catch the 31 bus. About 40 minutes from deak ferenc ter and really worth it. Great guided tour in English and made to feel extremely welcome. The tour consists of informative knowledge along with some cupcake making, a short film and LOTS of tasting. Gained some very obscure knowledge from both the origins of chocolate and the history within the Hungary chocolate industry. Within a mansion on a quiet road, it is simply beautiful inside and the surroundings inside are worth the visit alone. Suitable for all and would recommend to everyone.
