The hotel is quite neat and clean. The rooms are a bit small. Not much options for vegetarians in the restaurants. The location is not quite central to the city. Wouldn't recommend just because of the location. They do have a pizza place inside the hotel which has amazing pizzas.
Lovely hotel! We moved to this hotel, due to some problems with our previous accommodation. This place is wonderful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is not perfect, but the walk to the subway isnt too far. They also have a free shuttle and there's plenty of taxis in the area, which are not expensive. The pizza place inside is pretty decent, as well. Clean and comfortable room. Will stay again if we are ever in Hong Kong.
I really rate the Pentahotel. Its based a little bit out of the centre of Kowloon but Hong Kong has amazing transport networks and the hotel is five minutes walk from the underground.
The amenities are great the gym is well equipped and the pool is a decent size. The staff were friendly and fantastically helpful and the pizza restaurant in the basement is a great backup place for a meal if you don't want to head back out in the evening. The value is amazing, I was on a tight budget and I really didn't expect the things on offer for the price I paid.
It's location seems a bit remote and a bit funny (hidden among some warehouses). Internet speed was very slow, otherwise no problems. But across the highway, a big shopping mall had great Internet and also good prices on electronics (better than street sellers or smaller stores). The very best shopping prices in Hong Kong, you get by ordering stuff online from Hong Kong retailers. I bought nothing to bring home :)
The hotel from the interior to the exterior is very stylish. The rooms are very spacious and cozy! For the food, the breakfast buffet has a wide variety of international food. But food taste pretty delicious :)
Service wise, most staffs are polite, but some are kind of rude. I asked 2 of the staffs, “where can I get the extra utensils” , they simply asked me to wait and then they walk away. Then I finally manage to get response from 3rd person. And the 2 staffs that I asked are the managers. Hope they change for the better.
Other than the service, all is good.
Cheers!
It's not a very popular hotel in HK but it is clean, with some special design mixing local elements in. That's quite unique as other hotels usually just try to be world class or western. Lovely to see the design here. I came here to cover a wedding as a photographer but lovely to see.
Just an amazing hotel, quite underrated because of the area its situated in, the rooms are clean and just heaven, I myself enjoyed my stay here a lot, however they could make the gaming rooms a bit bigger
Very good hotel. Although not the best location, it's easy and fast to reach the city center by MTR. It's clean and modern, with good amenities. Would recommend!
Tucked away in San Po Kong but a great favourite for lunch and have had many a good meal there. The hotel itself has a great design and ambience.
This hotel facilities are really good and convenient. Their service is excellent. Staffs are nice and polite. I recommend this hotel for everyone for sure. Thank you!
The place is very clean. I also love the amenities and their facilities. Especially their food. The place is near the subway which is very convenient and the shuttle service is a thumbs up for me.
A hotel that "Don't do normal". Entering the hotel you notice the staff don't have a uniform (any black T is the ab-normal); check in is on the L1 (3rd floor for most); a cafe that is set up like stalls on its "eatstreet". In the hotel room set up is the same (goodness I wasn't ready to sleep upside down!). The overhead light swings from the sidewall making it not normal. But I like the ambience of the room setup especially the power points built into the table top.
It was comfortable and I sleep pretty well in a normal soft bed. Go try it yourself.
Oh the other abnormal thing they are located in a light industrial area and not near the highlight shopping areas. A nearby MTR will get you there though.
The location of the hotel is not great but the built of the hotel more than made up for it for the price that is charged. The room was spacious and well appointed with lots of charging points, a comfortable bed, and a Bay window lounging area overlooking Plaza Hollywood. The toilet was especially enjoyable with plenty of space for showering and kitted out with great amenities. The retro theme continues from the room into the lifts and main hallways even out into the arrival area. I admire that. Very few hotels have that kind of attention to detail. The hotel also comes with a gym and a Swimming pool. Unfortunately the latter was not open even though we were at the tail end of summery weather and it seems to have been closed way before the time of writing. Still the stay was great although peppered by bus loads of tourists who were making quite a din. We were very thankful at least they were housed in different floors at least and we were not bothered throughout the stay. Definitely a hotel to check out if design is your thing. If another opportunity arises, will definitely be back.
Next door, there is a char chan teng; red rice which serves really tasty fare, a 7-11 not too far off and a McD if you so fancy. We found that taking a bus 111 brings us direct to Central with ease. And can be changed to A22 that brings us to the airport. The MTR is another option closest to Diamond hill which could be great if it is along the way for you.
Heard great reviews about this hotel and decided to give it a try. Only draw back is that this hotel is abit far away from the mainstream shopping and touristy places, however, it also means that I get to experience local life and culture and eat less expensive food :)
Hotel is great, hip and nicely decorated. Room is cosy and clean, beds are really really comfortable with a day bed by the window!
Room is considered spacious as compared to most hotels in causeway bay area.
modern, design, lovely. stay there if you can chill a bit. it takes a while until you are in the heart of the city - complimentary shuttle service thou !

1/F., Pentahotel Hong Kong, Kowloon,
19 Luk Hop Street, San Po Kong
About 9-10 minutes walk from Diamond Hill MTR station, A2 exit.
This dinning place has nice ambient, modern, quiet and clean, staffs are polite and helpful. I am impressed that they even have English speaking waitress in this place. Food quality not too bad. They offer set lunch, but they are a bit costly though.
Good basic hotel. Rooms are small but clean and nicely decorated. Could do with some wardrobe but otherwise a very good budget hotel. The only drawback the location
The area is pretty shabby
Amazing hotel to stay in if you're in Hong Kong! Good food, great ambience and good hospitality!
Polite and helpful staff, breakfast with a lot of varieties and good food, cozy rooms, internet could improve a bit, not super high-speed
A great modern hotel with functional rooms, nice designs and culture. The lobbies staffed with young people in smart casual uniforms are a good break from the conventional and the various game rooms, signs and experience is phenomenal
Good place. Large rooms for Hong Kong and everything is very well laid out.
Cheap and good hotel. The pizza bar serves up really good pizzas too. The only downside is the location and the lack amenities around the hotel with the train station and mall about 7 - 10 mins walk away. And watch out for the tourists on group tours..
Very good hotel, we really enjoyed our stay. Everything was modern and clean. Also appreciated the free shuttle to the center. Internet was a bit slow though.
Staff was amazing. I fell ill and there is a doctor is house! Took maybe an hour to arrive, but I'm fortunate to have been around such a great staff. Pizzas are good too. Great stay.
