Honestly, the queue management at Taste is TERRIBLE!! Do yourself a favour and go to Wellcome instead. unless you have all day, nothing better to do, and enjoy watching a simple grocery transaction turn into a ten stage process :P I think my ice cream has melted
Back again today I am the second person in line, still a 10 minute wait :(
Back here again unfortunately I seem to have lost the queue lottery as people who lined up 10 minutes after me are out the door :( :(
Back again. no surprise but I’m back in a poorly organized queue that is about 10 people long. I’m pretty sure this will take 30mins at least. Don’t go to Taste unless you enjoy losing your mind!!!!!!!
Back again I have to say I’m loving the self-serve checkout!!!! Great work Taste one comment though; they should have an English option, we don’t all speak Cantonese ;/ but I’m upping my review by a star :)

This is a functional supermarket with horrible staff, very poor (bordering on vindictive) service and painfully slow checkouts if you get unlucky. Never mind the delightful aroma of rotting food, but I suppose that isn't unique to this supermarket, you get it at many in HK. The only saving graces are its location and that it has more variety than the same chain's supermarket located across the road in the basement of Lee Tung Avenue.

I've shopped at this branch a few times when I was in the neighbourhood and had two unpleasant experiences.
Some of the cashiers either scanned through my items twice or they forgot to change the price on sale items in the cash register and charged me the original prices, sometimes the differences could be more than 50%!
Since I have similar lousy experiences with other ParknShop and Wellcome supermarkets over the years, in addition to checking my receipt carefully, I also use my phone to take a picture of those reduced price items I buy, to save time when talking to the staff about getting my refunds. Still, it's time consuming because the staff had to physically go to the shelf to double check the prices, the whole shebang takes time! ☹response / report this review -

Good grocery by Hong Kong standards, poor by other places' standards. Good imports selection. Produce is poor. Better at the wet market. Queues are long on Sunday, far left queue is express, which helps. Clerks are vapid and obnoxious, as in all Hong Kong grocery stores.
