The room itself was pretty decent, affordable and spacious for HK accommodations. Not exactly close to MTR stations, prob 15 minute walk to either causeway Bay or wan chai station. There was often ppl smoking in the hallways and smoke would often get into our room.

Untidy, unfriendly - not value for your money! The floor in our room was sticky and had not been cleaned for weeks, we found 2 pairs of used slippers and smelly dirt under the beds. Sticky fingerprints in door handles and all over. Window was so dirty you could hardly see through to street. The smell in the room was really disgusting, but could not open the window for long due to heavy traffic and exhaust underneath the window. Bathroom handle broked, toilet seat broken
Management was rude and was not paying attention to customer feedback.
Think twice before booking this hotel!

Customer service was great. Room was able to fit 5 people and their luggage. The bathroom glass was dark and opaque but could be darker to block more light

    A few problems
    - family room but toilet door cannot lock (not convenient for mums)
    - the shower room has a stench. Think it comes from the shower curtain
    - the shower drain was stuck and water cannot drain
    - the lights did not work for some
    - it's ironic they have a table but no light above it. All totally stupid.

Overall is OK. Service is good.
Room design, cleanliness and atmosphere is ok. But must fix the AC design. Its wind blow directly to the bed.

Don’t waste your money. Poor sound proofing, dirty/ broken tap in shower. Pen left for comment card doesn’t work so how can I even leave a comment? I checked in very late and requested late checkout at 1pm which was approved at time of check in, I received a call at 12:20pm next day telling me I am late for checkout this stupid place either has no communication between day and night time staff or have no regards for their guests. Water pressure in shower is worse than my own house. Mattress is too hard, I like a hard mattress and it’s too hard even for me. O
Overall don’t bother. They can’t get anything right. Besides the room size is large for hong kong standard nothing positive can be said.

The biggest concern for me in accomodations is the bathroom/toilet and Vela's was clean, spacious, and nice

well im staying this hotel right now,my second day, i was worried about bad reviews but the room is big enough for two people and the price is good. A thing is the wall is thin. i can hear housekeepers talking out side of the room a bit loud and people talking outside the hall. bathroom is clean but not 5star clean though( obviously).

The hotel is nice. The room is big we get free upgrade in the room. Free wifi in the room There's free bottled water apple juice and peanuts. There's only few plug in the room I think it's only 3 for tv refrigerator and clock /speaker and there's no plug for hair dryer in the bathroom. The staff is nice and friendly. Little bit far from MTR! Nice view from the room!

I have been there for 2 nights. We booked room with two double bed. Room is big for given prize in HK. The view from room was very nice. One wall was dedicated to window so direct sunlight in as sun rise. Hotel staff is very friendly and room service is very quick. I would love to stay there again

Hotel doesn't feel like a 4 star hotel. Rooms are spacious, bathroom lacks lighting. Hotel needs a major renovation. I booked 2 rooms. Both with city view. 1 room didn't have a window. I asked the staff where is the city view. She told me that you can see the view using the bathroom windows. First time I encountered a hotel who used a bathroom window to describe the room type. Small lobby and elevator. Difficult to get a taxi if you are in this hotel. Will choose a different hotel in my next visit. Stayed here last year July. I hope there had been changes now.

Good. In between Wanchai and Causeway Bay. Near Happy Valley racecourse and Causeway Bay Times Square.

Getting to public transport stops specially the MTR is a bit of a distance. The room only have 4 outlets which is used by the tv set, the refrigerator, a table clock and the free-use mobile phone. There is no outlet in the bathroom for shavers. The bar and presence of girls wearing less sensible clothing makes the place not family friendly. They provided two free bottle of water, Apple flavored tea and peanuts but only replenished the water even though we stayed a number of nights.
