Buffet lunch food quality and variety best in Shatin. Service excellent. Replenish and tidying up of display racks is timely and detail. Location is one floor from the 3 hour free carpark.

Stayed at Shatin Hyatt Regency several times and I've always considered it to be good value for money.

It's not the best 5 star hotel in HK but the prices are more than reasonable.

Spacious rooms, helpful staff, decent food, excellent pool, acceptable gym.

Staying with a baby, hotel provided a cot and high chair which was nice.

The only downsides were that the interior is starting to get a little old and run down (by 5 star hotel standards), and there are no restaurants or shops nearby other than what's in the hotel, so you either have to travel far to get some food or just pay the higher prices at The hotel restaurants or room service. The food is good, but too expensive to have every day, let alone every meal.

Still, all in all, it's a great place to stay. Comfortable, clean and relatively good for babies.

Really nice hotel with super friendly staff, but would have liked it to be a little cleaner, especially in the shower. Our refrigerator broke and the replacement wasn't much better. They are really cheap units and the doors don't close easily. But those are really minor quibbles of an otherwise excellent facility. Good location near the MTR station and bus/taxi hub, so very easy to get around. The MTR is excellent, cheaper and faster than a taxi for most of your journeys. Pretty landscape and well kept outdoors areas. The breakfast buffet was really good, too. Consider a room package with it included if you plan to eat there every morning. Not much else nearby for breakfast.

The hotel room is really nice, concierge service is really friendly and they really are doing their best to help you with the limitations they have(understanding English). I had booked the room so that it would be available to me, when I arrived at 8am in the morning, it was not available. I had to wait until 2pm to finally get a room. I had then been awake for 26 hours. They just did not care. If you speak Cantonese you get excellent service. The breakfast buffet is varied with lots of options, these options where the same during my entire stay. Close to subway station. Area is nice and really calm compared to central Hong Kong.

I think sloth would be faster than the service I received from this hotel today.

Got to the hotel at 5.45pm after a long haul flight but had to wait one whole hour to get checked in. Not one staff apologised for the wait.m whatsoever.

Once we were finally checked in I was so looking forward to freshen up in my room before heading out for dinner. But I was told my room was still not ready. How can a room still not be ready by 6.45pm when customers check out by 12pm.

Fair enough I was offered a complimentary breakfast in the morning but why wasn't a complimentary dinner offered instead. I could've at least had dinner at the hotel while waiting for my room to be ready.

I'm highly disappointed with the service. The hotel itself in the lobby looked quite nice, as for the room I have absolutely no clue as I didn't get to see it. Location of the hotel is quite convenient as it was 5 mins to the train station.

Very nice hotel and restaurants. Always busy, convenient location. Not in city, but short train ride away. Easy on-off the highway to Mainland China.

This hotel is conveniently located in adjacent to the University Station. It is nicely designed with beautiful modern details and ample lighting. My family and I came here for morning tea with our extended family. The place was nice, however food service was underwhelming with inconsistent pacing and items being served in the wrong order. The quality of the food was acceptable, although we would have expected more coming from a reputable brand.

The breakfast buffet is lovely if you are American or a smoker. I got asked by colleagues how can you live at that hotel there are pedophiles living there, but I never saw such things.

I love their bar for years and the quality never gets worse and I think they have even improved by hiring new attentive staff.

    Really like the bar.

I tried their spa but it was not that special given the same price range that you will have to pay in the business zone.

I like the efforts the hotel has put in to include items unique to Shatin, such as making cakes with honey from a nearby bee farm. It also sells those honey in its hotel shop. This in turn makes this hotel unique from just another 5-star hotel in Hong Kong.

Was in Hyatt Sha Tin as overnight guest and was overjoyed with the service. They have an amazing breakfast buffet with variety from across the world.the room was lovely maintained and service is impeccable. Pillows are a heavenly experience. After the day roaming around in hot and humid Hong Kong, the night sleep was well rested. All in all a true 5 star experience. Do remember to check out the bakery and out of this world honey cake.

Big room and clean. Great food in Chinese restaurant. But the room is not cosy enough to rate as 4 or 5 stars, may be more like 3.5 stars. It is compensated by good services and great harbour view.

Staff at the cake shop is friendly. Restroom closed to the Café should be cleaned more regularly. Too many people of various personal hygiene standards assessing them, hire more people to keep them up please (and keep the smell down). Making the doors leading to the corridor of the restrooms automatic can be a more hygienic upgrade (without requiring to touch those door knobs).

Shatin 18 offers hard to compete Chinese cuisine amongst the finest hotels in Hong Kong. The Cafe offers excellent buffet. The pastry here is also must try.

Rooms are a little dated, but very nice place overall. Depends on what you're trip entails, not the most conveniently located to go to where the busy areas in Hong Kong or Kowloon. Although an easy subway ride away. If you plan is to go to Shenzhen to visit, this would be the perfect place to stay. Very close to the border checkpoint.

Been Twice. Rooms with Views, Buffet Breakfast and Northern Chinese food all excellent. A much better experience than our first, 9 months ago. However, the pool can get competitive on Sunday. Saturday was a delight. Get more umbrellas and fix the slippery surface around the pool. More bikes and free bikes would be my other suggestion. Make use of the tennis courts! A great feature for Hong Kongers who are on a staycation from Central.

This is a very good hotel, far from the city it is a resort. The staff for extremely friendly and helpful. It has all the features and amenities. It is very close to nature. Lot of fun activities to do.

Disappointed. Got a wonderful suite upgrade but what's the point?? The dishes were dirty. Not even a cup to make myself a coffee. The worst? The terrible cigarette smell. I curse the idiot who stayed before me and hope he lands in hell and enjoys his cigarettes there. It was obviously inappropriate and unlawful to smoke in that room. Barely got an apology from the staff. Very disappointing and unpleasant experience.

Fresh and lots of choices at the buffet. But perhaps not as large as some other Hong Kong buffets. All in all I would recommend it

This is my "go to" hotel when I come to Hong Kong. Great food, good service, convenient to park, and most of all, great rates! One of the best valued hotels in Hong Kong! Also conveniently located beside the MTR station University Station, and a bonus is many Tesla Uber charges at the supercharger close to the hotel, so if you call an uber, you're more than likely going to get a Tesla!

Nice room. Nice touch is having bottled water delivered everyday and amenities like toothbrush and shaving kit in room in case you miss carrying it. Buffet breakfast is great if included. Lots of options in both oriental and Western breakfast. Friendly staff.
Ala carte meals are very expensive so beware. Tintin bar is nice but expensive unless you are there at happy hour!

The Cafe buffet I'd really good value. Compared to other hotel buffets this one is calm and civilised. The food is great; fresh seafood, Chinese dishes prepared as your watch and a desert take that is almost too good.

The environment is great, if the weather is peasant you can even enjoy the patio.

Also, unusually for hotels in crowded Hong Kong, you can park here easily.

Really lovely hotel. The gym and swimming poll are excellent. My room was superb with lovely views across the water. The staff are very helpful and friendly as well. Also, the breakfast buffet is really lovely with lots of freshly cooked food and a variety of choices.
