Very attentive service at all times by a lovely waitress.
Good half price beer on offer each Friday gets my vote.
For food there was fettuccine with pulled pork, an odd cobination, but it just worked. I had pea risotto which had a lovely flavour. The char grilled artichokes on top were the icing on the cake, yum!
We also had a tasty hummus, but served in a jam jar, when plated or in a bowl would have been better.
Their chips were chunky and fresh, but our friend wasn't keen on the steak pie. We also wanted mac n cheese but it was available??
Overall good, and recommended, but pricey.response / report this review -

When arriving at the restaurant i introduced myself giving my name as i had a booking. The man who met us then walked off up the stairs with no invitation for us to follow. We had to ask him "do we follow you" He nodded yes.
So, not a great start Hebe. Who the man was i have no idea, if he worked for me he would be on a warning to improve his manners to paying guests or seek another employer.
The waiting staff in the restaurant were nice and friendly and made up somewhat for the rude reception we initially got.
The food was of average standard although *my* plate of NZ mussels was well received by my friends, unfortunately for me :))
Would i return to Hebe?
No, although the waiting staff were great, they could not make up for the bad manners first encountered and the average food.response / report this review
