Absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful and quiet. The people here are great and even my Midwestern, carnivorous husband could not complain about the vegetarian food that he ate for an entire week. I honestly cannot say enough nice things about this place. We can't wait to come back!

Peaceful and Gorgous Place
This was my first time staying at Laguna Lodge and I have to say that the resort it's absolutely gorgeous, there is so much attention put in everything. The service is fantastic.They have their own parking lot in Panajachel and they have their own boat that goes to pick you up at the parking lot at whatever time you arrive. You are welcomed with a delicious drink while you do your check in, the rooms are beautifully decorated and very spacious. The views are just breathtaking. Food it served at your own time, we asked for the vegan variations and it was delicious. I wish I spent more time here, it's so peaceful and relaxing.

My wife and I stayed here a couple weeks ago and loved it. It's a gorgeous, award winning boutique hotel built on the shores of Lake Atitlan. The thatch roof style hotel sets the tone for it being an eco-lodge, but the rooms are surprisingly spacious and luxurious. All feature big private bathrooms with hot water, king bed, and a private balcony overlooking the lake and volcanoes. On the property they have a small pool, a great deck area for swimming & lounging, a small library/TV room, and an open-air restaurant. They own most of the mountain side and there is a nice trail that leads to a lookout point/mirador where you can take amazing panoramic pics of the lake and all the volcanoes. They built a little deck with hammocks out there - great touch! Only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was the dinner menu was limited. It's vegetarian only and we didn't get a choice of meals, it would have been nice to at least be able to choose what we wanted like soup & salad. The good was good, I just didn't like being forced into becoming a vegetarian as chicken or even fish could have made a big difference.

There is no better resort in all of Guatemala then this place. i went with 4 of my friends and we were simply fascinated by the view in our room and off the dock. we enjoyed the sun on the dock or in the pool which is located right off the lake. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming and the food was on another level.

Unbelievable experience , the staff was so helpful and friendly. The food was so delicious . We had an amazing view of the beautiful lake and the architecture was so unique and special. The memories will last forever!

We fell in love with this place. It is magical simply said! The views alone are euphoric. If you are planning a trip to Guatemala, you have to visit lake Atitlan and stay at this lodge! It is one of the top lodges in the world rated by National Geographic. Once you enter this piece of paradise you will understand exactly why it holds that status. What an experience. I will never forget my stay at Laguna Lodge Eco Resort.

I have been to many hotels and resorts around the world, but there is something magical about the Laguna Lodge Eco Resort! Not to mention the absolutely stunning view of the lake and volcanos, but the food was to die for, and our Villa was incredible. The decor around the Resort was alluring, and offered such a relaxing environment. We very much enjoyed our stay and strongly recommend anyone who is thinking of booking, to book! The staff are very friendly! Its a wonderful place for families, couples, honeymooners, and friends! Thank you again for everything Laguna Lodge Eco Resort! I cannot wait to come back :)

Amazing place!
We had an amazing stay here - we stayed for 4 days, in a super nice room, bed was great, so was the shower.
While the stay and food is a bit expensive, we thought it was worth it.
Food was very good, chef's menu changed every day and was fresh and unique.
The staff was also amazing, very nice and hospitable.
It's also 20 minutes walk from the nearest village, and the walk was beautiful. There are also some trails on the mountain which were beautiful and led to some amazing views of the lake.response / report this review
