Hotel Atitlan is absolutely stunning. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful, and all of the staff are wonderfully helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return.

A very nice and romantic place, great views of Atitlan lake, peaceful and relaxing gardens. The pool area is beautiful, perfect to enjoy sunrises and sunsets, specially in November. Food is ok nothing to die for but the rest of the place totally worth it.

Stunningly lovely place. We did not stay - just had the breakfast buffet. The food and view are well above average! The prices are high, but reasonable for what you get: all you can eat, great view, and nice no-rush service. Worth it ;-)

Not enough can be said about how good this hotel realy is. It's absolutely amazing.
Number one, the place is spotless Believe me I was looking. The rooms were immaculate, excellent view of the imposing volcanoes looking back. The ever changing view of the weather surrounding the volcano is incredible. I loved the thick duvet covers and the bed was really comfortable.
Some reviews mention that there's too many rules. A hotel like this has to have rules and regs that make for a quiet relaxing place that is perfectly kept.
The gardens Not even in Versailles. Butterflies, honeybees, humming birds, tiny little squirrels and well the different flowers and trees were astounding. Oh, and the parrots and huge guacamayas!!
The food was awesome. Chicken breast is hard to cook so it's moist, so that's always a tell. My chicken breast was super juicy and had a great homemade Guatemala flavors. The breakfast buffet was delicious with pretty much everything you could want. They had real homemade jams and fresh squeeze juices that were yum.
The coolest thing though.. Once in a while some really important Guatemalan people come to lunch in their helicopters and it's an awesome sight to see them land right in one of the adjacent gardens. Amazing.response / report this review -

The venue is absolutely beautiful. I came here to have breakfast at the buffet and it was delicious. The highlight definitely was getting freshly made waffles on the spot and the view of the lake while eating.

Beautiful gardens, amazing view, heated pool and hot tub. This place is amazing. The rooms are rather small and dated, but who cares!? My room was clean and organized.

This hotel offers high quality food service, located out of Panajachel, at 10 min by car. Great place if you travel only for leisure.

The hotel is located just before Panajachel town, being outside town give you privacy and silent rest. The gardens are beautiful and the view to the lake is amazing. The rooms are nice and clean and all of them have view to the lake. Service is bad, rules are strict and dumb, the hotel does too little to make you comfortable, food is overpriced and your reservation includes nothing besides the room (thats right, no breakfast included). Generally, it's a beautiful expensive place with bad service but you can always grab a taxi to eat in town.

The views are stunning, the hotel is well maintained and is mostly used for Weddings.
The staff a point that needs work on. Since I normally write longer reviews you understand. Not my first choice of a place to stay on Lake Atitlan.response / report this review
