Felt a bit abandoned and dirty. Advertised that they had a bar which never even was open. Other than that, they have a nice view to the lake as the name says.

Nice hotel where you can relax for a good price. Located on the island, the view from the room is just amazing. If you looking for parking, it's really easy to find it on the street. Nice service from the people of the hotel as well!

Ok place to stay. You get what you pay as most of the time :)

From the bar you got a nice lake view.

We booked a room with a double bed but when we arrived there was just a twin bed room available.

Shower was dripping quite badly the whole time.

They gave us a good deal with the Tikal tour.
90Q for the sunset tour with transport and guide.

We tried breakfast once at this place and that unfortunately was a mistake. The oatmeal with fruits was poor. 4 thin slices of banana and 4 even thinner slices of strawberry The brekky borrito was rather small and not very tasteful ):

Possibly the worst experience ever. It was recommend by a tour guide so we thought he knew a thing or two about good places but the bed sheets were stained with suspicious substances, the shower hardly worked (no hot water ofc) and there was a puddle of idk what on the floor when we arrived. Did not enjoy.

Excellent price. Private room, comfortable double mattress, private balcony, private bathroom, HOT WATER! Nice and quiet, we had a lakeview room as well. 150 quetzal. Friendly service, definitely not in a hurry but that's no surprise in central america. Do suggest!

Stayed two nights paying one night at a time. I was drinking my coffee at 945am when the manager tells me I have to move out because the room was reserved. I had 15 minutes to pack and leave and it was the beginning of a holiday weekend. Extremely bad management as she had plenty of opportunity the day before to let me look for another room. I do not recommend this hotel.

Dorm 3 has bed bugs!! And bed isn't comfortable, also has a light shining right in the room.
Security guard slept with an extremely loud t.v. on. had a shared vista room which was with friends other nights which was ok other than really loud industrial fan

Room wasn't especially clean with blankets and sheets feeling slightly greasy. Staff immediately pushed overpriced shuttles and tours upon our arrival hoping for a rash decision. Locals tend to hang out around reception making it hard to determine who staff is and even then the actual staff aren't really helpful or accomodating. Price is cheap for a view of the lake but not sure if worth it based on other issues mentioned

The hostel is beautiful, just sad that the owner is sometimes very drunk.
He couldn't walk properly and couldn't answer questions.

Cheap and cheerful. Great views from the balcony.

No towels, WiFi or hot water in the rooms. Large industrial fan in the room.

Quite a nice hotel. We had an upstairs room overlooking the lake, which was good for sunrise photos from our balcony. Think we paid Q250 per night. No bar or restaurant on site now but plenty of options nearby. The old bar area now a nice area to relax in with view of the lake. They have 4 kayaks you can take out for free, they say for 1 hour, but noone was checking.

Basic, no-frills, solid accommodation for the budget-conscious. Doesn't have the vibe or character of Los Amigos around the corner, but when you're paying 40% less, don't expect to get what the competition has on offer! This said, one can always go to Los Amigos to check it out if one wants - a meal in the restaurant let's you stay over there as long as your heart desires!
