Old linen, friendly staff, walkable distance from other attractions

This hotel can be described in one word: Old. While this might be charming in some cases it was not in this one. The room we stayed in was dark and narrow in the lay-out and even the bed sheets and towels seemed to be 100 years old. The worst was the distribution of the plugs (an easy thing to fix with multipliers and cables). There was basically no free plug in the room except in the bathroom. I went there partly for work and I needed my electronic devices to be charged. We had to unplug the TV to get more plug space. The internet was also ancient and almost unusable. Overall I liked the service tho. The people at the checkin were very nice to us and the had always a good interaction with the cleaning staff. I might have given the hotel a better rating than I did because of the nice people but then the last day when we checked out they tried to charge us the water bottle in the room (which we didn't tough) and a breakfast (which we didn't eat). To be fair, I think the bottle was a miscommunication but the guy seemed to be angry about this so I don't think it was the right reaction.

Very nice hotel with decent sized rooms. The staff were very helpful. Its in a pretty central location. Inly 1 or 2 minutes walk from Gran Via. We would stay here again.

Really great location, pretty clean and really nice staff
But really feels old, no power sockets near beds and couldn't get more than 1 key, if I was back before my friend had to open the door, and give the key back to the receptionist It's a joke.

Rather centrally located hotel in traditional style. Bathroom and air-conditioning quite outdated. Diappointing breakfast. Parking slots almost one mile away in a small garage. Did not like pillow nor old matraces. Experienced staff at reception.

Habitación amplia y muy limpia. Recepción muy eficaz y amable. Es un hotel clásico, distinto a las cadenas de hoteles actuales. Tiene personalidad, cuidado y lindo. Lo recomiendo. Además está a 10 mn de Sol

Confortável, bem localizado, transporte público à porta (3 minutos do Metro e ônibus), preço compatível com o serviço e as acomodações, pessoal cordial e atencioso. Fiquei muito satisfeito. Tem pequenos pontos a melhorar (e.g., isolação acústica), mas no geral, valeu cada centavo!
