My husband and I stayed here April9 - 15. This is an all adult resort, as long as you don't wonder to any of the other restaurants or bars. The resort sits in the back of several other sister resorts. The sister resorts are not all adult. If you want to eat at the many restaurants, then you will not get the all adult vacation. If you don't mind children running around, then this won't bother you. We specifically wanted a vacation that did not include children, as we travel with ours later in the summer.
The food was ok. Just OK. Not the worse and not the best. Nothing really blew us away. At least there was no over eating while we were there. Depending on your bartender, your drinks will taste differently every time.
We had a Jr swim up suite. It was a pretty room, but the shower did not drain properly and it would flood the bathroom. We brought this up to the butler, it did not get fixed. The jetted Jacuzzi bathtub did not get used. It was not clean. There was dirt on the bottom of the tub and mold around the jets.
With that said, the swim up portion was amazing. We enjoyed this amenity of our room.
I did feel like the resort was lacking in shows. The one show we did go to was 80s night, which included the staff dancing and lip syncing to 70s music.
Overall, this was a relaxing vacation, as vacations are what you make of them, but for an all adult vacation, we felt it to be lacking compared to our other similar vacations.

First we have to say, this resort is a huge resort (four 5 star hotels, 980 m of superb beach) which might seem to be putting you off, but the resort is located on a huge ground with beautiful gardens and the apartment are in smaller units maximum only 3 stories high. The advantage you have being in such a huge resort is that you as TRS guest can use all the facilities of the other hotels as well. The TRS area is solely for TRS guests (18+), including an own area at the beach and therefore much more quit than the other areas.
The rooms are well maintained and equipped with all necessary things. The beach (daily cleaned) is a fine white sandy beach with coconut palm trees and water from bright turquoise to the deepest dark blue. Sounds like paradise? It really looks like paradise!
The food in the restaurants is excellent, if it is in the buffet style restaurants (I can recommend for breakfast – fresh prepared omelets, crepes, pancakes, enchiladas, beside the hot and cold buffet stuff, including a huge variety of tropical fruits) or in the à la carte restaurants (we went for lunch and dinner). You can choose out of a huge range of high quality dishes (including lobster and fillet steak) cooked in different styles depending on the theme of the restaurant. For sure, it is an international resort and some dishes might be cooked in a different style as you expect and might not match your personal taste, but that is part of a holiday.
The staff is very friendly (if you are respectful and behave) and make you feel like “a friend who is very welcome”. The animation team of the TRS and the Bavaro was good at least in the parts we used and can rate. From the TRS team I have to especially mention, Albessard and Gregory who were very friendly, serious and very responsible in leading the activities even if only 1 guest showed up.
Until here, my review seems like I wrote an advertising brochure for the hotel? That is correct, but that is my true impression of the hotel and if you read my other reviews, I´m quite critical, but if something is fine I say this as well.
Nevertheless, I will not conceal some critical points as well:
    - The beach volleyball court at Bavaro area looked awful at the beginning of my holidays: no lines and net by far too low. I complained in an email to guest service and talked to one of the manager at TRS about it. Within a couple of days, the court was completely refurbished. The posts were heightened and a completely new line (shiny red rope) was installed.
So this critical point was quickly solved and the manager promised to keep the court maintained (would be nice if people reading this review in some months’ time could confirm )
    - The music at the TRS beach and the Helios restaurant was very loud lounge style music, which for me (and many other guests I spoke to) is out of place for a Caribbean beach. This – for sure – is a matter of taste, but I had the impression that not many people were happy with this kind of music. However, as well after talking to the management and again to one of the managers of the Helios the volume was permanent throttled during our second week.
As you can see, my critical points are more or less peanuts in the complete picture and overall we had an excellent holiday – close to perfect!

Excellent service! The staff is super friendly, the grounds are beautifully kept. Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because the food was 4 star qualitytypical all inclusive food quality. You would think you would get 5 star quality at a 5 star hotel but that wasn't the case.

Our experience at TRS was excellent as always. This our 3rd time staying here and each time the staff and the resort are nothing short of amazing. A big shout out to Patricio at our pool bar. He made the best drinks and was very attentive. Maria and Freise at the Bavaro lobby bar were a blast to hang out with. The new Helios restaurant was delicious and the violinist that was playing during our meal was phenomenal! Fernando, our waiter at La Torres during lunchtime, was so much fun to talk to and he always put a smile on our face. Too many other amazing staff to mention, but they are what truly set this resort above others that we have stayed at. We are sure to return soon!

We had an excellent here at Turquesa. The hospitality was top notch, the food was great, the ocean views and waters were beautiful. We would recommend anyone to come here. If you do, you’ll be lucky to have “King Kong” as your butler. He was extremely reliable, helpful, and friendly. Excellent place

Great room and facilities. Joel provided a great Butler service. Some of the restaurants were disappointing but the food poolside was very good for breakfast and lunch. Bartender Patricio was excellent as well. The constant upselling began to wear us out but overall a good experience.

We had a somewhat good time during periods of our vacation (June 2017). The entertainment was alright, didn't have much of a night life. The food was okay at times. My wife and I really got sick (French restaurant) the day prior to leaving. I heard several other individuals got sick as well. On a good note the staff was very accommodating and friendly. I wouldn't recommend this resort. I have friends who just returned and they feel the same way!

It was an awesome place. Great food , great service and the resorts were beautiful. Beach was nice and without rocks. However I did get a little sick for a day or 2 from something most likely something I ate and a lot of people on the beach try to sell you stuff. The power went out a few times but wasn't for very long. I would come here again

Unfortunately, my stay at Royal Turquesa a at the beginning of May was not good. We had money and items stolen from our locked safe. They can get into a locked safe there. beware. It happened to two members of our party. The staff showed little concern and acted like it was normal. Note, if you put your do not disturb sign out, they will still come in. The air conditioning didn't work one night and it was very warm, no ceiling fans in the room. The food was OK but not great. The reason I gave it one star is that the beach was actually nice. I don't usually write reviews, however, I felt that I needed to warn other folks. I will not stay there again.

We just got back and had a fabulous time for our honeymoon. The food was good and the service was great. We LOVED our beautiful swim up room and we will definitely return. The staff made our experience so amazing and we appreciate our butler Manuel, Luis from Sports Bar and Kong and Fernando who helped us out in the lobby. They went above and beyond and had fantastic customer service.

Our only bad experience happened due to the deception we experienced with the "travel club." A seemingly nice gentleman, Guillermo, greeted us in the lobby and pretended to speak broken english. He spoke quickly and invited us to a "VIP breakfast" the next morning which was actually just a sales pitch that wasted 3 HOURS of our vacation. The sales pitch from the travel club was VERY pushy and after speaking to other guests we learned that they trick lots of guests into sitting through it without explaining what they are doing. It is obvious that they use the language barrier to their advantage and they are quite deceptive. Beware of these people!!! It really ruined our feelings of the resort at first and it is unfortunate that they lie to guests.

I've heard the resort is amazing. However the language barrier is very hard. I called multiple times to attempt to pay for a couples massage for my brothers honeymoon. The only person that I could speak to that could speak very good English said that I cannot they have to have the physical credit card to pay for it. Even explaing to them it was a gift and I would like to pay for it . It was very difficult and hard to navigate due to the language barrier. As well as being put on hold multiple times on international calls. If you are planning on staying here I would make sure all of this is taken care of upfront.

My husband and I had the most amazing honeymoon at the Palladium Royal Suites Turquesa. Our swim up suite was incredible. We had a deck and our own pool area attached. EVERYONE-literally everyone-we came in contact with was so incredibly nice. We had our own butler, Arsenio, and he was the absolute best! He made us reservations for dinner (the Italian, Indian, and Mexican restaurants were AMAZING) and he checked in on us everyday. He definitely went above and beyond for us. The maids were so also friendly and beyond accommodating. We had some awesome bell boy service as well (Shout out to Andy and Johnny!). There was always a shuttle ready to take us anywhere in the insanely huge hotel compound. We stayed in the adults only area-which was perfect- but we were able to go anywhere throughout the resort. We highly recommend going to see Clara at the "Secret Pool" bar because she was great as well! While the spa was a little expensive, we splurged for a couples massage and it was well worth it. There is a private pool area in the spa that you can use after your massage and it was very relaxing. There isn't anything I would change about our 10 day stay at the Palladium and we will definitely be recommending it to our family and friends!

Absolutely amazing. Highly recommend this resort to anyone and everyone. We spent 8 days there for our honeymoon, already planning a return trip. Very clean, fantastic food, wonderful staff, helpful and very friendly. I give this place, all of its staff, rooms 10 stars. Can't wait to return!! We are also looking forward to staying with this resort in other locations! Do yourselves a favor and start planning now! You won't regret it!

We are still here and lots of people speak English and we are Hispanic and they still speak English to us. If you tip just even a dollar it's takes you a long way. Everyone is nice and the food is not American but it's still good enough to eat. We have a Butler and he has gone above and beyond to make sure we are happy. We are having fun even with the little rain received. I would recommend and tip, tip, tip because it goes a long way.
