Our trip to Punta Cana was great. The resort The reserve Palma Royal was better than expected. This was our first trip to DR. The resort gives you a private concierge that takes care of you through your trip. Ours was Enrique. He was awesome. The food was great. The only problem is that vegetarian food is limited at the restaurants. Naos was awesome for breakfast and lunch. They had a wide variety of options for vegetarians, including Indian food. Really great experience overall and would come back. Entertainment is great for all ages. Luke Luke in entertainment was really friendly and he taught us how to dance. We had a great time

We just visitited The reserve at Paradisus Palma resort in the beginning of May and it completely exceeded our expectations and was absolutely amazing. From the amenities of the resort to the great service, our stay was perfect! Randy was exceptional and guided us throughout our entire trip. Whenever we needed anything he was always there. Fidel also provided great service and was very friendly. Both made us stress free through our trip! We would highly recommend!

This hotel was amazing and the staff was wonderful and kind and made the experience so much better. I always enjoyed the company of Alejandro Happy Boy and Francisco Reynoso. I really appreciate everything they did for me and they made my vacation a lot better. I will definitely come back to visit them! :)

We spent a relaxing and happy week at the Reserve at Paradisus. There were so many pools, that we often had a one all to ourselves. The beach was beautiful and the service was great. There was quite a variety of restaurants to choose from. The rooms were spacious and having an outdoor bathtub was quite amazing. We are particularly grateful to our wonderful concierge Gustavo who went above and beyond - and made our stay extra special!

Great place. The room sizes were more than adequate for our family of four. EVERY staff member was outstanding. Sulenny was our guest guest service person and she was truly spectacular. The word “no” does not exist at the Reserve. At all points they went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.

My only two complaints: the food was not as flavorful as I expected it should have been. Also, housekeeping was great, but there was an odor in the room the entire time we were there. They tried to take care of it, but it lasted through our stay.

Great experience! Place is well kept and the service is incredible. Special thanks to Irvin Nolasco, and the rest of the crew. Couldn’t be happier with the stay. I highly recommend this for an all inclusive vacation!!

The place is beautiful and the activities are great! My favorite activities were with Francisco Reynoso. He was the instructor for Painting and Zumba! He is very talented and very fun to be around! Also the swim-up bars are great and by the pool and the bartenders Lee, Luis and Leonardo made the best drinks and were very funny! Saturday night was very fun and cool and there was a GREAT show! All around i had a great trip staying here ! 10/10 recommend!

Truly enjoyed our stay at The Reserve. Everyone was really accommodating. The restaurants and food were terrific. We were lucky enough to have a Robeyda from Guest Services to send us messages and set up our reservations at each of the restaurants we wanted to eat at. The rooms were beautiful and well kept.
    Truly enjoyed our stay.

I absolutely loved this resort!! It is so gorgeous and absolutely stunning! Everything is open to nature and the lush gardens and everything that surrounds the resort. Since I stayed at The Reserve, it wasn't located directly on the beach, however that was completely okay because they golf carted us to and from the beach and we also had complete access the The Paradisus resort which was also gorgeous. The beach lounge area was private for the reserve and we had a waiter and everything. Endless pina coladas and food whenever we wanted. The rooms were amazing considering we didn't pay for any extras or for the concierge but we still had someone helping us and planning our dinners throughout our vacation. Absolutely amazing and definitely the place to stay if you're headed to Punta Cana.

My fiancé and I stayed at The Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real from May 2017;I don't even know where to begin!! This was our first international vacation and it was sensational!! It set the bar so incredibly high for our future vacations! And we have come to be new Melia loyal customers!! When we decide to return to Punta Cana it will without a doubt be to The Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real! In our eyes a true 5 star resort!!
We were originally suppose to be staying at Paradisus Punta Cana but we arrived the day after it had rained for an entire week straight. When we arrived at the original location Paradisus Punta Cana we were informed how not even 24 hours before the main lobby had 6 inches of standing water and the room we were placed in had flood! The staff handled this situation exceptionally well!! The hostess informed us we were being relocated. We won the lottery with this vacation! They not only upgraded but also provided and paid for our taxi to the other resort with was located about 15 mins away! When we first arrived at Paradisus Punta Cana I was very hesitant because it is located right in a busy hectic town but The Reserve paradisus at Palma Real was in a more remote tropical area of the island!! I loved that right away!!
We arrived at The Reserve and were instantly treated like royalty we were given champagne at check in while we waited! We were then introduced to our concierge Carlos Rosado, who really helped make our stay so unbelievable!! If you go ask for him!! After he got us settled into our room which was unbelievablehe gave us his whatsapp information and that's how we talked we would message him and he would set all our reservations and he would check on us and see what we needed!! This man adds such value to this resort!! He even surprised us romantic nights!! A true professional who really cares for his guests and makes sure they are having a stress free time!!
The foodlet's talk about the food!! The Reserve is set back from the main resort but is within a 5-10 minute beautiful walking distance or they have golf carts to drive you all over the resort!! The Reserve has exclusive restaurants only for the guests who stay there; which makes it nice and convenient since they are located right at The Reserve! And they have really wonderful food options! Aqua was the most AMAZING experience; our server Louis treated us like complete royalty. We ate there our first night and Louis made us feel so welcomed! They made sure we were happy and had enough to eat (even though it's all inclusive they are NOT stingy with the food) you can get everything and anything you want! The food was amazing, hats off to the chef!! There are also a bunch of restaurants up at the main resort which have a huge variety of food! You will not be disappointed; we are very big foodies, we travel FOR food and we were blown away by the options!!
Our hotel room was beautiful! We had a ground floor room with a beautiful private backyard! Covered in pretty flowers. Room service came every day; every day we came back to a clean room bed and at night we would come back to a nice turn down service with chocolate on our bed and a fresh bottle of water and clean glass on each night stand!! We also read about a lot of theft problems but we did NOT experience that! We also made sure that our valuables and cash were properly locked in the safe!!
Our biggest TIP we can offer is to TIP every person even if a dollar, seriously a little goes a long way they treated us so well for a $1 tipwe tipped everyone! Give a dollar and you will never have an empty or warm drink in your hand!! BUT don't give a bigger tip and say "that's my tip for you for the day" they won't keep coming back..someone we met did that once and learned
I could gush over and over about this hotel!! It is was that amazing

The worst Melia property ever. They let shady characters hustling hotel guests on the property. We got our phone stolen right on the hotel beach in 2 mins taking group pictures. Our friends had their wedding rings stolen in the room. Needless to say how badly this had ruined the much-needed vacation for our big group. You have been sincerely warned!

If anyone is looking for a great deal on hotels you can check it out on HotelRaven. com Booked a room on there and they had the cheapest rates around

The good Resort room were very nice and large, people were extremely friendly and seem genuine. The pool and beach was very nice and grounds were kept up nicely. Ronnie at the tour desk was awesome. Jean at circles was awesome (even though he was in training) hire him full time he was very helpful and nice. The on-site activities at pool and beach were great we would of liked to of them.
The bad The food was not so good best I can discirbed it was it was at best like buffet food on a carnival cruise ship. If you like that food you'll be fine. We expect more. You had to make dinner reservations a few days a head of time which is fine sometimes but every excursion we went on was 1-2 hours late so we missed or was late for the reservation and mostly they couldn't help up.
The pool was nice but cushions were semi dirty I would think they would wrap them and clean them every few days. But obviously not.
The wait staff was nice but you could rarely find someone to get you a drink. Maybe every 40 minutes someone would come by. No food was served at the pool either unless you went to a buffet and brought it back or had a hockey puck burger and no sauce pizza The rooms were not spotless but not spotless by any means, housekeeping could of done much better. We even had someone from the staff leave a beer can in our room(know it wasn't ours we don't drink beer). Do not go para-sailing they almost drown my wife and son the went to dunk them and we're not paying attention, they were busy talking amount themselves and major slack got in rope and the hit the water went about 2' toally under. They could get them up. The driver proceed to reel them in and give the boat full throttle to try and lift them, they were drug under water for about 30 seconds . My son's was trying to save my wife she was under for a while. Very terrifying. My suggestion if you wanna go tell them no dunking and make sure you tell them to keep a close watch if you see the chatting tell them to pay attention. It ended up OK but none in are family will ever go again. Not much to do at night so if your a night person stay at the Hard Rock that place isuch nicer and has much better night life, food and resort in general. Casino was a joke 6 or so tables and slots. Generally empty. Terrible smell of sewage when walking from beach to main lobby. I mean terrible. They rest was minor things that happen at every resort or vacation not worth mentioning

We are a well travel family going on 1-2 vacations a year for 20 years I would give this stay a 5 or 6 out of 10. The best. Being Costa Rica near arenal valcano. Even above Hawaii and Alaska.
