  Nice trip to the top by cablecar. The way down we walked the trail straight to Los Caobas. Due to heavy rain and mudslides days before it was taking lots of time to follow the trail - many times we could not see it and needed to avoid crossing trees .. fortunately we had GPS/GPX map of this area. But in the end amazing trip through the djungel

  The grounds were very clean and the attraction is well maintained.
  
  I guess this is a common complaint in DR, but I really felt that we had to be on-guard to not get a caught in a situation where we need to tip a helpful stranger.
  
  We were firm in refusing to enter the "gift shop" at the top and were very wary of men offering to take our pictures with the Jesus.
  
  I think that it was worthwhile. It cost 350 pesos per person over 10 plus the price of the round-trip taxi ride from our hotel - $60.00 for seven passengers.
