  This was a real once in a lifetime experience- think ecotourism mixed with luxury, mixed with "the real Dominican Republic". Don't expect an American or European style spa. This spa consists of one building for the kitchen, dining room and the bedrooms, a collection of huts for the beauty treatments, and a series of paths laid out on the beautiful hillside.
  We were treated to a long massage, a pedicure, a mud mask and swim in a dammed mountain stream.
  The 5- course traditional lunch was a real highlight too.
  Worth every penny! You won't get this type of experience down in the resorts.

  I've never seen a spa built into a mountain side before. It's old school but cool. Best vacation ever.
