No outlets near the beds, some across the room, so if you wanted to use the device and charge at the same time, guests had to sit on the floor. Or go downstairs and use the ones near the couches, approximately half of which worked. Everyone has electronic devices. This is not providing an expected amenity.
Two bathrooms for 12 bed room, but toilet broken in one, so actually one toilet for twelve people. Fix your facilities. Speaking of broken, the oven in the guest kitchen wasn't working for two days.
We are paying for facilities we are not getting. It's not like you pro rate your fee when things we are paying for aren't working, so it feels like a rip off. A weak apology from staff isn't enough. I chose this place because I stayed at the Berlin location and it was nice. This is like the busted low rent version of that and makes me reluctant to trust the Meinenger brand in other locations in the future.
And the location wasn't terrible, but there aren't enough stores and restaurants nearby. Not like if ir were actually in the city center, which it is not. Sure, only 15 minute walk, but if you want to get something or a meal having to walk 30 minutes gets tiring. Every hotel in the actual city center has multiple options within a block or two. This really doesn't.
Had a very comfortable room. Clean and comfortable kitchen. Friendly staff. The room for my family of 5 was a nice size and the toilet was clean, too..
It was a clean place to sleep and staff was friendly. One downside was I was a top bunk and didnt have any outlets. There were two next to the bottom bunk and he let me borrow one which was nice. The big suite i was in was actually split into two smaller rooms which was nice. Location is great. Very close to train station
Went in a large group for a stag-do. It was a great place to lay my head at night. The layout and facilities can be considered as a hostel plus. Far better than your typical hostel but not quite a fully equipped hotel. Great stay and would recommend to check out the city.
The room was so hot the windows had to be left open all the time. This allowed mosquitoes Into the room. Along with bed bugs this meant I was covered in bites by morning. The first floor is so noisy from the bar down stairs Its almost impossible to get rest. You also have to make up your own bed, the duvet and pillow We are old and stained.
Staff were lovely and helpful and a credit to the business.
Location is good for exploring town
Hotel is slightly outdated. Hotel staff is very accommodating. Not a bad place to stay if you like 40+ kids running around at all hours of the nite/day. During my stay, majority of the area was undergoing construction that began at 7am. The guest kitchen is a nice feature. Pretty inexpensive and the on-site bar is also a plus (especially with the 40+ kids running around!).
Free WiFi and great customer service. The top bunks of our group room weren't made when we arrived, and the pillows aren't great. Otherwise an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
Your Receptionists were the most unwelcoming people Ive ever met in my travels. Their smiles were very expensive especially the bald guy and the guy of color. Exception to this was Claire. Claire should teach her co-receptionists how to receive clients. And I did not get a bed sheet on my first day. Plus the bald guy lied when I asked for vacancy because I wanted to extend my stay. He said no available room but when I went and checked online, there were vacancies.
We are a family of four with two young kids, 7 and 8 years old.We arrived at the hotel at around midnight after traveling for 7 hours. We were very welcomed at the reception but when we arrived in the room we were quite upset. There was a very bad drainage smell coming out of the bathroom, complained the next morning and the personnel said they will be taking care of it but still no success till the end of our stay. And another thing that dissappointed us is when the kids went up the bunk beds to sleep and they found that their beds were not laid with bed sheets so we had to do them ourselves at that time of night. The staff was quite helpful and the breakfast was good.
Felt like I was in a hotel for the price of a hostel. Bar area with games was very nice. Enjoyed meeting many new people, and had a great atmosphere to get some sleep as well as socialize during the evening. Easy 15 minute walk from the central bus/train station. Very comfy beds with your own personal reading lights. I liked how bathroom was separated between shower and toilets. Wifi connection worked great the entire length of my stay. Definitely would recommend to any fellow travelers, and I will for sure be coming back again.
