There is an old part, visually very nice renovated and a new part. The part part seems to be a fully different hotel sharing front office with the new hotel part. The junior suite in the old part has a not sufficient heating facility / equipment and air conditioning is too loud in comparison with temperature expectations. . In winter especially bathroom and also bed area is absolutely too cold. And currently we have just around 0 degrees Celsius
Clean comfortable rooms. Good food. Short walk to everything.
I spent roughly 50 years at the Meridien Frankfurt this year. In my opinion a few things are great about this hotel:
1) Service and personnel: Service was great throughout my time at the Meridien. Personnel was friendly, welcoming and cordial. Great job!
2) Location: The Meridien's location in Frankfurt is unbeatable - right at the centre of old, next to the train station, and in walking distance of most every notable business or sightseeing location.
3) Cleanliness and rooming: rooms are clean, well serviced and generally pretty nice
I decided not to give 5 stars here, because there always seems to be something that is a little bit off.
1) In my 50 nights, we had 6 fire alarms - nobody likes waking up at 6:30 to fire alarms
2) Showers: water temperature in the showers can fluctuate tremendously (going from warm to hot to cold in seconds)
3) Continued construction: They say they'll only start after 10, but then actually they start at 8
4) Other little things like defect air conditioning, defunct ironing boards,
None of this stuff is terrible, but it's kind of annoying and I expect a 5 star hotel to ensure it doesn't happen. That being said, I do recommend staying here. If you decide to go ask for a room in the old wing of the building. They're more spacious, nicer and just cooler.
Nice hotel, with good sized rooms. There is currently construction going on, but it's not too disruptive. The staff have all been very friendly and helpful. Haven't eaten in the restaurant, but the bar was quite nice.
The hotel is older than the photos i saw online.
At this time is summer 32 Celsius.
We stayed in room 109 which a/c doesn't work.
And it took hours to get staff come & see it.
Finally they changed the room for us which is better.
The bar is good, the staffs are all nice & salad is delicious.
Solid hotel with nicely renovated rooms. Booked a superior room but got upgraded to a deluxe room on the 8th floor. The room is really big with a sitting area. The bathroom looks a bit old compared to the rest of the room though. At around EUR 100 a night I would stay here again. The area is not the prettiest but it suits my needs to be near the station.
Beautiful but toxic. The design is striking, rooms comfortable and location convenient and quiet however the lobby is toxic with intense chemical fragrance from the SPG chemical fragrance emitters and the loud rap music made checkin very unnerving. If they stop polluting the air and turn off the music, it would be 5 star hotel.
Good location, probably the best hotel near main railway station, which, by the way, is not most or pretty area of Frankfurt. Stylish (English) decorated rooms. Bathroom is vintage stylish and therefore rather basic in my view. The so called "junior suite" is more like a deluxe room really.
Smallest room with the tiniest bed ever, like seriously I feel like going back to reception but can't be bothered. Google review instead. Not coming back here.
Very clean bathroom and shower!! I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Very nice staff!
