The rooms are small, but comfortable, the breakfast is very good (a lot of choices) and the location is great, just across the street from the railway station

Nice room, free mini bar, free coffee and cake in the lobby, clean and just next to the central station, huge selection of breakfast. But WiFi is painfully slow and they blocked my favorite porn websites. 🙄 Common, that's one of the basic human needs.

400.- bucks for 2 nights with cockroaches!
It might have had it's glory time years ago hence the name but today it needs some serious renewal. Cockroaches, rust and a price high as a 4 star hotel. Only good point is the free mini-bar.

Really clean. The location seems great because is in front of the train station, but is full with gypsies. If you are a girl travelling alone is better to go to bed early. You have a mini bar full with drinks that can finish every day and they will refilled for free. When you do the reservation make sure that you have breakfast included, otherwise it will be 15€ charge I couldn't try their breakfast.

Be warned, most rooms do not have AC. However this hotel has many other pluses. The breakfast in the morning is wonderful. They include noodles and rice too which is a delightful break from the norm. A personal favorite of mine is the free lemon bread they offer dog the day as well as the beers, Waters, and sodas in the mini bar that are restocked daily and are complimentary. Last but not least is location, the Excelsior is extremely close to the train station making travel easy. Overall great hotel, but you may want to pay the additional 50 euros for AC.

Location is the only good thing about this hotel. Very small rooms and not very clean. If you didn't book breakfast directly, it's offered for 15 (!) €.

Receptionist wasn't a native German speaker. The room was clean but became extremely dusty very fast (in only one night; maybe due to the open window next to the road in front of the train station). The bathroom was clean but a bit small and looked used and old. We stayed with 4 adults in room with a full-size and a bunk bed and payed about 28€ per person for one night without breakfast.

The room stank of cigarette (like seriously), was unclean and had a dripping sink. I'd say find some place else.

Redeeming qualities are the free minibar and relatively cheap price.

Although the free mini bar was good, and there is snacks and coffee/hot water below at the lobby, cleanliness definitely need to improve. The place looks clean, but they have a pest problem. There were roaches in my room. Seriously I would report them to the health authorities if I knew how to. I would have given them a negative score if it was possible.
