Poor rooms & furniture, not suitable for price torbay services, it's a trap
This Hotel is a joke. Staff/owner do not speack English. The rooms are very dated and durty. We found loads of dust and a pile of rubbish under the beds. The shower was moldy and dirty. I found hair in the bed. The heating wasn't working and the radiator was rusty. I was so so disappointed and disgusted. The only reason why we have decided to stay was because we were driving for over 12 hours already, and we needed a rest. In the morning wasn't any better, as we woke up early because breakfast finishes at 9am, but surprise surprise. no tables were available for us to eat. So we had to wait another 30 minutes for other guests to finish with their breakfast. When we went to the owner/receptionist to ask what we can do, he said with a very angry face that breakfast finishes at 9am full stop. Horrible place! I wouldn't recommend to anyone
Not the cheapest hotel aroundreception staff available only until 11 PM
Rooms are really small, mold smell all around, no working heathing, hand towels used as bath sheets
The poster of Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable in the hallway is the sign when the last renovation of the hotel was probably done - at the premiere of Gone with the wind.
I didn't like the hotel in all respects. We took a room for 5. The room was so tiny that we could hardly walk in it. The bathroom wasn't clean (see photos). The only 2 positive aspects are the friendly staff and the fact that it's not far from the underground station (7 minutes walking). Breakfast was average.
Good position to start your Munich excursions, nice service and breakfast. Small, but clean rooms.
it is like acastle, room is very nice and warm, and the breakfast is great
Very comfortable and clean room, excellent breakfast, and very friendly staff. Will return whenever I am visiting Munich. Not convenient to Marienplatz but easily accessible through the U-bahn two blocks away.
This hotel is horrible!!
the rooms are poky, ugly, hot ant noisy.
the hotel is situated on a large and busy main road and sleeping in any room at the front of the hotel is impossible without ear plugs. The noise is terrible and if you close the windows the heat is suffocating.
we asked to be moved to a room at the back, which we knew to be free and were flatly refused in a very rude manner saying this was impossible. No matter that we spesifically asked for rooms at the back when we made the booking.
The woman who was in-charge was rude, unhelpful and spiteful, and the whole experience left a bad tastle in our mouths.
If you are reading this review i urge you to look elsewhere, holidays are supposed to be fun but this hotel made that very difficult. A shame Munich is a beautiful and welcoming city, too bad the Galeria hotel is not so.
ps. the de core in the hotel is laughable. Huge and horrible canvases that look like they were painted by donky with a brush between its teeth line the stairs line the stair case and the artwork only gets worse from there.
Galeria more like craperia.
Do yourself a favour go elsewhere, you will probably get a better nights sleep sleeping under a bridge or in a cardboard box
