Id like to give 5 stars but im kinda disappointed with the lobby's toilet (it is kinda dirty and smelly).

I spent one night in this hostel as my very first time in life spending a night in a hostel, and the room is really great! met lots of interesting people in this hostel :) the bathroom in my room is also very clean, the staffs are really friendly! im indonesian and the staff tried to speak in my language and have a chat with me :) the bar is also great! reservation is also easy and check in is also easy :)

Great hostel with great affordable price!

There were two outlets in the room of 6 beds, and 2 in the bathroom so still not enough per person. There was only one light in the room, a single white flickering fluorescent bulb in the center of the room gave the feel of a cell. But worst of all, the room gave myself and my two traveling friends BED BUGS which we brought back home with us as it was our last stop of our travel. Our beds and houses now need to be quarantined. One of the three of us woke up with the bites immediately. Myself and the other did not notice until a day later.

A very good hostel - spacious bedrooms and a nice, big common room. A computer corner as well. The only negative side - the kitchen is too small for such a big hostel so I used to take my meals into the common room.

Do not stay here. If you have any other option - take it! Very close to Oktoberfest, but unfortunately the location was the only positive. The rooms weren't clean and the staff were hostile. The worst thing was that my friends and I got BED BUGS! Horrible. Would never recommend to anyone

The only upside to the hostel was that it was in short walking distance to Oktoberfest. On arrival in the evening the staff were both drunk and rude while checking in. The room was dark with very little light, not all beds had power sockets and the bathroom smelt awful. The shower did not drain, leaving our bathroom to flood. We told staff at reception and they advised us that the cleaners would fix it. They did not. We had to ask again at reception for someone to drain the bathroom and fix it immediately. The flood was a safety hazard. Finally after two days they fixed the drain in the shower and cleared the flood on the bathroom floor. It was visible cleaners did not tend the room at all, as they did not replenish the toilet paper, we had to request it at reception.
But THE worst part of our stay was the bed bugs! In our group of eight in the 8 bed dorm, four of us got bed bugs all over our body. This was definitely from the hostel as we had come from our hometowns. After our stay we emailed the hostel to advise them of the bed bug issue. Their response was rude. They proceeded to blame us that it was our problem and that we could get bed bugs from both hostels and five star hotels. This response was not acceptable and they did not accept responsibility. In our group of 8 people, who have all done a lot of travel around the world, this is by far the worst hostel we have ever stayed at. Overpriced, bed bugs and bad service.

They have very clean rooms, but do not have enough outlets for everyone to use. Some of the staff aren't very attentive, we waited about 10 minutes before someone realized we were at the front desk. For the price it was great though!

This hostel is not for the faint of heart! The lobby is very noisy and the kitchen way too small. There is absolutely no privacy or quiet. The rooms are large but arrive early to get a lower bunk. The bathrooms are in need of repair and hallways don't smell that fresh. If you can find something else, I would advise not staying here if you are over 35.
I stayed here as affordable accommodation is rare in Munich and because the location and the staff were excellent. I really enjoyed the neighborhood and met some interesting people.

A good price for a bed in Munich. Centrally located. Has a small kitchen that gets the job done- but is way too small for this multi-level hostel. And it does not have basic things you expect in a hostel kitchen, like utensils and cookware. The beds are comfortable. The under-bed lockers are noisy and obnoxious, but they work. I was not impressed with the customer service from the front desk staff, but it depends on who's working. The owner does not actually work at the hostel. It will be fine if you visit in a big group. Otherwise, it will be difficult to get a true hostel experience and enjoy your stay here.

Well, my boyfriend and I stayed here for the opening day of Oktoberfest. We arrived in the afternoon and this place was crazy! So many happy people and decorations and it was a five minute walk from the actual Oktoberfest gates.. What more could you ask for?! We we roomed with a group there for a bachelor party from London. Great roommates! If you are looking to stay in Munich, especially going to Oktoberfest, this is a really great choice!

Thanks Smart Stay for a memorable experience!

    Prost!! 🍻

Everything was very good in general. The attention, the breakfast and the room were very good. The room was clean and there was no noise from outside.
I have to say, I stayed in this hotel about 8 or 9 years ago, and it has improved very much (over all the attention from the receptionists, as back then it was one of the worst service I ever had in a hotel, and the current receptionists were all very helpful and polite).
