Hotel truly had a warm, cozy Bavarian feel. Compassionate staff tried to quickly turn over our room even though we checked in very ealy.

The hotel was a delight to stay in. Lovely big room with soft pillows. It could have been improved by providing a coffee and tea making facility in the room, but the reasonably priced drinks fridge compensated for this. We did not have breakfast included as it was a little expensive for our budget, but lots of nearby coffee shops .
The location was ideal for walking to the Old Town christmas market areas and very close to stations and tramways.
All the staff were extremely polite and helpful and we had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. We would certainly book this hotel again. Thank you

Comfortable stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. Hotel is very close to train station and very close to the center of town. Great location and great hotel.

Great Hotel. Room was a little oddly configured but everything was freshly refurbished and overwhelmingly clean. The flat-price mini-bar was a welcome surprise. Our breakfast server was also very pleasant and hospitable. We will return.

We have been coming to your hotel for a few years now and it has always been a gratifying experience. No effort was spared to make us feel welcome.
I would wholeheartedly recommend your hotel for its location, the quality of the accommodation and the service both in the room and during breakfast. A special mention is made to all your reception staff.

I'd like to offer one very important comment and compliment to you and your company. There is a young man who works at the front desk, I think his name was Ferdinand (?), who had a pretty significant speech impediment (a "stutter"). You're company allowed him to operate in a direct consumer-facing position, despite his speech difficulties. I am both grateful and extremely impressed by your willingness to stand by this wonderful young man as the "face" of your company. Many companies that would find some excuse to avoid this situation, but you and he did not. My greatest regards and respect go out to you, I will recommend your hotel to others, solely on the basis of this one interaction. It is reflective of your compassion and character--two words that are rarely attached to a corporate entity.

I've been to Munich 5 times, and I've just stumbled upon this lovely Hotel Excelsior. The hotel has a lovely decor, but what makes them extra special is their staff, and their extra impressive services that exceeds even the standards set by large chain hotels. This is where you'll find true Bavarian hospitality, where the staff genuinely cares about you and does their best to make your stay as comfortable as possible, from the chocolate bars left daily on your pillow to a bottle of water that you can grab whenever you're heading out. I would like to thank the entire team of hotel staff, particularly Victoria, Akiel, and Ferdinand. Once you've stayed here, you wouldn't want to stay anywhere else. Definitely coming back here again.

This hotel was excellent. Very well run, excellent facility and staff. The location is great for visits to the old town. Parking can be a bit difficult in this area, but it is available. The staff parks for your convenience. The attached wine bar is fantastic. Front desk staff are very helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough. We look forward to our next stay in Munich.
