Good price, cleanliness, and friendly staff! Huge rooms, but a small amount of common space and no kitchen keep it from being perfect. Location is good, close to things and metro but not right in the bustle, so depending on what you want it may or may not be right.

Great place to stay at! Hostel with hotel vibes, beautiful building, bar and rooms. Clean and affordable, with service minded and helpful staff.

The beds are extremely comfortable and the staff are friendly and helpful- when you first arrive they sit down with you and a map explaining where the main attractions are and their personal recommendations. I also found the shower facilities to be great as they are spacious. Only downside for me is that there isn't a kitchen to cook in but overall a good hostel

Stayed in a double room with shared facilities. We got a very friendly welcome with quick overview of what to do in Berlin. Room was comfortable and clean and despite the heavy partying in the bar across the hallway we got a good night's sleep. After checking out, we forgot something in the room. It didn't take long for them to notice and inform us before we left the city. Definitely recommended!

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Grand Hostel! The staff was very friendly and enthusiastic about showing me the city's map and where to get the BEST curry wurst!! The bar downstairs was busy every night (cheap delicious beer and funny bartender). It was always easy to meet other solo travelers. Best part - the beds were comfy and clean! The dorms are very quiet so no shame if you need an early night's rest. Highly recommend. Thank you, Grand Hostel

Wonderful place. Free beers after a long travel was a nice touch. Booked a four person room but was placed in a seven person room, but nonetheless it was a great experience!

It was kind of ok. The location is ok, very close to a metro station but is not the best one in town. Something that I always found very bad is when they have rooms just with windows on the street. I was not able to sleep at all and the street is a main road, so, very noisy. The food in breakfast it was expensive for what they served

There is no hooks or wardrobes for your clothes, so you have to use the locker for everything. The showers are terrible, very low quality, they just have a curtain and no hooks for your towel (they charge you for a towel). The tap water is always boiling, so is pretty hard to wash your hands or even brush your teeths. So why they have so many good reviews? Maybe because this hostel is overrated by people who prefer hangout instead few basic comforts.
PS: Also the guy from staff said he never heard about the tap water boiled, but at same time he told me that they have problems with the pipes and this is the cause of the water boiled. So, he really never heard about?
