Pleased with the location and sound proof rooms helped us sleep
Went to Munich for a small trip. I thought the price was decent but when I got there i was shocked.
It's in a backalley near the main railway station and it looked dirty from the outside. Going in I was also shocked because for that price I got 2 nights stay in a way better place in Prague. Anyway Hairs on the bed is a no go. We tried to accomodatw but eventually just checked out before sleeping there. Absolutely disgusting to have stuff of others on your bed
Decent rooms as far as size, beds, space, bathroom. Kind of a pain to have to bring up luggage a few steps in order to take the elevator. Glad there were several outlets in the room. Clean bathroom. Free wifi is good. The Downstairs lobby is clean and has a vending machine as well as coffee machine.
Decent location as far as it's close to Hauptbanhauf station and Oktoberfest.
Everyone in our group, and we stayed in different rooms, got bitten by bugs. Make of that what you will.
My bathroom stank of urine
The bed was uncomfortable
It’s not in a very nice area of town
It’s not even that cheap
I have no idea why you’d want to stay there
I already had been host in two A&O Hostels at Berlin and Vienna and my experience had been wonderful so I booked in Munich full of excitement. It all disappeared at the moment we opened the door of our room really old, awfully small, no closets to put our clothes, broken matress, dirty and full of holes blankets
We of course complained to the receptionist who kindly moved us to other room not much bigger, but at least it had wardrobe! The blankets were dirty too and the bed still were unconfortable, but at least we could stay there the three nights we had booked.
The next BIG disappointment was at next morning when we were about to have breakfast How you dare to call it "breakfast" if you even own a bread roaster to make a slide of toast?? It costs JUST 50€, you stingy!! The woman who was in charge of the breakfast was a foreigner who didn't even speak english and who got mad when I was about to leave my table because I HAD TO CLEAN IT UP BY MYSELF!!! WHATTTTT??? I couldn't believe what was happening; I had to tidy up my plates and put them in a pile while she was chatting by phone in the kitchen ABSOLUTELY UNBELIVEABLE!!
To summarize, all the rooms are really old and ugly, and lack of details like glasses to drik water or hanger for the towels. Besides, they don't clean up your room in all your stay; they do just when you ckeck-in. Except for the first recepcionist, the staff was not kind to us, especially, the old woman in the breakfast.
I don't recommed at all this hotel. You have a lot of better options to stay at Munich in the same street for 20€ more per night, which I assure you it worths the money.
Clean rooms. Very close to central station and very friendly staff. They helped us keep our luggage after checking out while we wait for our train in the evening. Highly recommended.
The A & O is located close to the main train station and everything is within easy walking distance
Limited bed cover and small rooms, does have toilets and a buffet style breakfast but close to a main road and noisy throughout the night.
Nice, cleaners should make every bed in the room though~not just two out of four.
Really bad service : no towels in the room, no light next to the bed, a plastic cover on the mattress, very small TV, a low service elevator, very noisy breakfast room not for business trip for sure
