Very unhelpful receptionist and very rude .also no lights in some of the rooms . Had not hot water and cold tap in bathroom on sink stuck so no cold water in hand basin x went to speak to reception as was told 7 hours after we got to the room hot water is now available. Needed the hot water at 15 .00 hours not at 22.00 hours x no sorry or we can rectify this just plan rude . Wouldn't recomed this place . I know it was only a room to stay the night but basic human rights are surely water to wash ..x

Out of Cyprus, KSA, LOAS, ISSAN - THAILANDthis is by far the worst place I have ever spent more than an hour(including immigration rooms in East Asia/Middle East)
I had to clean the air conditioning for an hour to get it to a level that was somewhat bearable! Pictures included! Since, I've spent the night sweating.

After looking at trip advisor, it's become apparent that this place is rife with thieves with robberies as recently as a few days ago.

Luckily we left all valuables in Akrotiri!

The desk staff are incredible, they seem to want to help but don't have the means to do so.

We will see if the management amend this issue in the morning.

All reviews will be changed accordingly.

Attention!
In this hotel, you must be highly watchful! A thief has been in our room – someone who must have seen us leaving the hotel for a walk after supper. We had left our cash in the room, hidden in our suitcases, not easy to find. But someone had come and rummaged in our belongings – a horrifying experience! We informed the police, of course. It was not the first occasion in this hotel, I believe, but nobody has called the police. A similar theft in January
Presumably, the thief had not come from the street. Although, there are no surveillance cameras and the gates are open. Our room 406 opened to the fearsome dark backyard with no light. The hotel badly needs renovation.The electrical system is old
Still, the charlady did her work every day and the supper was delicious and wholesome. We are thankful to the manager Christie who was very friendly. Besides, free Wi-Fi coverage was excellent and the location super.

Very disapointed.
So the hotel was ok for the money we paid. Apartment was ok and cleaned daily. Food not too bad. During our 1 week stay there was no hot water for 2 days. In general aftrer 5 days of our stay I could say it was ok butOn 5th day someone took all our money from the room! Before we left the room I have counted the money to check how much I got left following day it was our last day and we went for trip to Nicosia with no money no food! How can you go to someones room and steal all money on Christmas day! I hope karma will get the person who did it. It was surely person with access to the key and definitely not cleaning staff. Luckily it was our 5th day so not much money left. But stealing from poor people is really not cool! Highly disapointed!

Two things that are great about this place are Lucy and the location. Lucy runs the front desk and rocks it. She should be promoted and commended for the hard work that's involved in herding the many holidaymakers that flock to Cyprus. The location is pretty amazing. Unfortunately, the first few nights my bedroom was not many metres away from the rockin pub across the street. Lucy allowed me to switch and all was well.
So, thanks, Lucy. I give you 5 stars, personally, but the overall vibe is about a 3.

The room is big, but the kitchen appliances is too old (the oven is not good). In the winter, they turn on the heater only few minutes per day (you can't turn on or turn off when it's needed). The water is not hot at all (and you have to let the water flows for over 10 minutes literally to make it warm).

Room is freezing at night, reception state that the heating is on timer which is beyond unnacceptable its winter out here. On of the English bar staff is just so rude he needs to go on a customer service course as he just cannot be rude to paying customers that contribute towards his wages.

The location is good, but has heavy traffic noise. The apartment is run down in need of a makeover. But the maid service is ok with towels and bedding etc.

In general very nice but they don't check their rooms for defects like light bulb and heater that don't.
A good bonus for that hotel that its near a supermarket that have everything

Clean and functional. Good lpcation. it's cheap for a reason and look at it as a place to put your head down. Has nice pool area.

We came in in July, the apartment was super hot and the air-conditioner wasn't doing the job By the way, very kind crew in the hotel.

We moved from there sister hotel penarti to the daphne which is a place to that one
still out dated but food is fair staff are great we had a noisy aircon in the room but they fix it stright away I ain't got nothing really to say bad about it and this is the second time we've been still I would come again location is brill easy access to harbour and pubs and restaurants if you wish to eat out

Wouldnt advise the hotel. Food is worse than dogfood and always left overs.they even managed to ruin breakfast. They have driers on all night which are loud and in one of the rooms. The only good thing was the maids keep the place clean

good value hotel
i have stayed at this hotel 4 times now
and i have always been at different times of the year
April/may may/June august/September & October/November
all the rooms i have stayed in all have air con and are clean and tidy
i have always found the staff very friendly and helpful
very central to pubs, restaurants, car hire & shops
i have always been self catering
and always hire a car so i am always out and about
so my partner and i generally live in restaurants up and down the island
if you want a central place to stay
the Daphne hotel is highly recommended
as a good base to start at
