Advantages: Even though the hotel is standing there since 1938 it still a laxurius hotel.Great pool, great veranda area, great food and great cafés and bars all with a vintage charm that makes you feel that you are still in 1940's. The rooms were recently renovated and had at least one balcony with a view to the forest+very friendly and welcoming staff ;)

Disadvantages: The rooms didn't have a sufficient wifi coonection (which can be good for people who came to the hotel for a relaxing stay in the forest).Also the hotel should hire more staff as there were only 2 people in the café and had to serve over 50 people thus the orders came late.

If there was an option to rate under 1 star i would. The service was less than poor, no sufficient staff to serve guests and the ones who were on service were unfriendly, rude on occasion, and unwillinng to assist, with one or two exceptions. The room was in a sad state, beds were the same since opening propably and dusty. I had the worst sleep ever in a hotel - including supposedly iferior star hotels). No amenities other than some liquid soap, which was finished in the wash basin and we had to ask for it to be replaced. When we arrived, the staff couldn't have bothered less, we practically had to tell them to transfer our luggage from the car to the room, we asked for a late check out (although they originally told us that check out was @2pm, they then denied it and told us it was at 12) and the reply was that they had little staff and they had to accommodate them! For an amount of 270 euro for 2 nights two adults and two children half board, this is absolutely unacceptable! I would NEVER stay in this hotel again!

Disfuntional. Air con didn't work. No car parking space because no one ever bothered to build a car park for the size of the hotel. Waiter never smiled, was never polite, assumed a massive tip from the change. Bar was never open, restaurant didn't have menus. Grainy ancient tube TVs, blankets on bed which are ANCIENT as are the springs in the mattresses. Two stars because the place has an eerie haunted charm, but a bit too much of the shining. Time to update.

A dilapidated once-grand hotel where King Farouk partied. The grounds are nice. Everything else is shabby and faded. Whatever you do, don't eat here. The food is horrid and it took us literally 30 minutes to find a waiter so we could pay our check.

Very tranquil and relaxing especially if you want to get away from the heat of the Cyprus coast. Due to the surrounding trees however flies/ bug floating in the pool. Didn't put me off but did for the company i was with. Friendly staff. Pool side was a bit dated

The hotel site is fantastic as is the building itself, standing there since 1938. It has an air of old-fashioned luxury. The hotels are clean and pleasant, staff is friendly and rooms have balconies with forest views. There's some parking, usually sufficient.

The only downside is the food at dinner, which does not reflect the quality of the hotel, and is pricey. I would recommend to dine elsewhere in the village.
