Very expensive to shop here, but vendors are willing to haggle, tourist only shopping really, the locals are allowed to shop here but can't afford it, good pizza and view of the beach, bank available if you need to make tractions.

Whenever I'm in Varadero, I go to Pizza Piazza a few times during the week for lunch. It's much better than the food served at the hotels.

On the bus route. Most are fluent in English and cater to Canadian. It has a bank machine. Love Cuba!!!

Food was ok
But we
Try to go the beach.and we couldn’t even seat on the beach benches.
Cause wanna of the guards said we need to be a hotel guest.they were like 20 of them unused

Little shopping mall in Varadero. There is a supermarket, which did not have a lot of products. Surprisingly, there are a lot of brand shops like havaianas in this mall as well.

If your in varadero looking coffee, rum,cigars or souvenirs to take home. Not much price difference between hotels and here but allot cheaper than the airport. Outside the cigar shop guy was hand rolling them.

Pizza Piazza has great pizza. 2nd level.
Grocery store close to main entrance has 5 litre water jugs for 1.60cuc.
Rum and cigar store on main level has best prices on Santiago de Cuba 7.60cuc. Cigar prices tend to be the same everywhere.

After traveling in Cuba for several weeks, I found the shopping mall Plaza Las Americas refreshing. You will find a pretty good supermarket and several shops, bars, restaurants.

Though the mall is close to the resorts, another 5m bus ride will get you to Varadero downtown where the prices for souvenirs is much cheaper.
