Very friendly staff, stunning views and beach very close. Would highly recommend it for families. Food was amazing and would book the Japanese restaurant. The shoes in the evening are unbelievable!! Can't wait to go back.

The hotel was awesome!!!!! The staff was incredibly helpful and accommodating. Kensy went above and beyond to ensure every request was meet and was extremely friendly. The food and nightlife was incredible as well. I recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Cuba; especially for the first time! This has truly been an experience!

Our second time here! We loved it as much as the first time. Great rooms! Incredibly friendly staff from check in to check out. Beautiful beach + pools! Wonderful service. Perfect for families. We'll be back again...and again! Our new favourite spot!!

I had a wonderful experience at Iberostar. Overall, the service was my favorite part of the trip. All of the staff are lovely and caring. The beach was excellent, hot white sand and clear blue water with a full service bar nearby.
Late night snack bar is great place to go for after the disco , which is playing all the latest tunes. A big thank you to Rakel, our chambermaid, who has a big heart made of gold 💓. -

Nice resort. Rooms were adequate (although beds were very small and hard) Staff we’re friendly (hats off to Joel the Bell Man, went above and beyond to help us) Food was ok, stick to western dishes and freshly prepared dishes. Bring your own ketchup and spices.
Facility could be kept cleaner than it was, but overall not too bad.
I highly recommend the Jeep tours. What a great way to see the local culture. -

Very friendly staff. Good food most days. However, at night, good luck getting service. We asked for an extra towel to be brought to our room and never got it and asked someone to come to our room for service and no one ever came. But aside from that, good hotel with a new view

Probably the best resort in Varadero. We are having an exceptional time. The staff is fantastic. The grounds are gorgeous. The beach is perfect. The rooms are immaculate. The food is decent. Great for families, couples or singles (you will make friends!). I love this place. We got married here 6 years ago and came for our 6th anniversary. I'd give the place 10 stars if that was a thing. Order the rum punch! Delicious!

The hotel is really nice. Not 5 stars, more like 4, but still really nice . Endless cocktails of decent quality, lots of food , though there is little food variation between days. There is a nice pool and an average beach site. Please note this is not a good place for snorkeling. They also have a theatre where they run a cheap play. It's ok to spend 2-4 days at this place , but if you really want to enjoy Cuba , better grab a taxi in front of the hotel and go for trips around the country. Make sure the taxi driver speaks good English. Bus trips are also ok, but if you get a good taxi driver you will get a much better experience of Cuba.

Decent place definitely not a five star hotel but food was pretty good for Cuba. Property is in much need of repair and updating. Room smells musty and you can see mold. Best part about this place is Chef Thomas who has been AMAZING in helping my wife with gluten free food. He has even made her own meals as she has Celiac.

I stayed here for one night due to plane delays. I had a pool view family room. The balcony space and view was nice and bathroom had a nice design to it. Overall the beds and comforters had an outdated look and feel and the fridge was old with signs of it needing to be replaced. The cleaning ladies were very friendly and followed up with me on when would be the best time to come by and clean the room when i had head out and place a do not disturb sign.
Huge resort with various pools situated in the same area, walking distance to the beach as it's connected to the resort. With lots of bars. There's a cool kids club there with an all inclusive ice cream stand which seemed pretty nice.
The buffet did have a reasonably good selection from meats to fish and vegetables. -

I had an excellent vacation here. Staff was super nice and helpful and the rooms were very clean. I had a suite overlooking the ocean and it was a breathtaking view. The on site Japanese restaurant served the best meal and buffet for regular mealtime was doable but Cuba isn't really know for its food. Js don't expect to much.

Lovely place service excellent, but once they had there employee appreciation day it slid down hill quickly! Floor in rooms done with dirty mops! Sheets on bed not exchanged! No salted butter! Food from day previous day used in otherw dishes!

Shower faucet leaked and shot water all over. While laying on the bed you could feel the individual springs in the mattress. Basic service in the room was lacking-only one bottle of water in 5 days despite numerous requests. The pools were fine. The food was plentiful.

We were the first flight out of the UK to Cuba after Irma so we were expecting things to be a little bit behind schedule but the hotel was up and running.
A couple of the outside restaurants were not available due to roof damage but the staff made up for that by being helpful, polite and always engaging. Even staff who spoke little to no English would come and speak to us and find out how we were.
We did suffer a couple of power and water outages but this wasn't really an issue during the day. We were however without water for over 9 hours on the last day which meant no A/C and some concern that we wouldn't be ready to fly home the following day as it didn't come back on until midnight.
That said, the hotel is well maintained (apart from one of the two lifts being out of order) and it looks modern compared to other hotels in the area. We spent two weeks here and could have stayed on the resort for the whole of that time, there was plenty to keep us entertained.
We would definitely recommend a stay here. -

1. I was injured on the first day on the beach. In the western part of the beach there are many large stones in the water. I asked for help a lifeguard. He advised me to go to the bar to take some ice and put it on the damaged leg. Cool.
2. bartenders serve spanish speaking people first.
3. There were cockroaches in the room.
4. The air conditioning in the room was set to maximum cooling and maximum blowing. You can not turn it off or adjust it. If you open the door, then you will enjoy a night with mosquitoes and big flying cockroaches.
5. In the buffet air conditioning worked 3 days out of 7. There are a lot of flies and birds in the buffet. -

The common areas are heaven... absolutely gorgeous! Staff was also incredibly friendly! The only minus was that our room looked kind of old/run down and the food was mediocre, despite the many options.

Beautiful, clean and well located. This is not a western country so all you whiners DO NOT make other people expect western world quality service and western world cleanliness. It would be very ignorant to not know that they have different norms And standards. And yet there are often cases where they will provide a better service then what we get from people in America or Europe...but don't expect it all the time😊

Better then we expected based on the reviews, just got back today from a 1 week vacation there. Beautiful beach ..probably the best we've been to, you could stay in the clear warm water for hours, bring a float :).
The pools were all clean and well maintained but we spent all our time by the beautiful beach.
The hotel is very nice, yes the rooms were dated but were always clean, never had a problem with running out of toilet paper. the fridge was always replenished with beer, soft drinks and a big bottle of water. Never had an issue with booking the restaurants, Japanese and Italian were really good. Buffet.. no complaints !! As for the flies.. are you talking about a few house flies ?? that's it !! Very few bugs .. remember were you are.. a few birds and house flies is normal when the doors are left open. Nightly shows were also enjoyed as well as the other entertainment before the shows, live bands. magic shows, etc.
Staff was incredible !! wonderful people.. nobody hassels you there like in other resorts.
Thank-you to all the wonderful people who work at this resort for a wonderful vacation and we hope to return. -

I have just arrived home today from this resort, it is honestly not worth the money. The rooms are kept very dirty and staff doesn't do a good job maintaining cleanliness through out the resort. When we had arrived, the first room smelled terrible and my bed had a blood stain. No lights in hall ways and a lot of wet floors. I also saw leaks in the ceiling. Food was awful at the buffet but the snack bar and Japanese a la carte was decent, too bad you couldn't enjoy their food because of the millions of flies that were every where in and around the food constantly. It was quite disgusting. The beach is amazing and so are the pools, my favourite part of the whole resort actually. Staff was friendly for the most part but would stop in the middle of an interaction with guests to interact with their co workers and some even gave attitude when asking for simple things like napkins and cutlery. After this being my first time to Cuba I'm not sure if I would go back again. The best part of the trip was the Havana tour with our private driver Alex, I highly recommend him. He was wonderful and my family and I really enjoyed our day with him! I would bring snacks and containers just for convenience.

Beautiful beach and pool, staff was very good. Food on the other hand was not great. It may be because of American tastes but it took a while to find meals that tasted good. Don't bother with the restaurants because they were impossible to get into

Worst resort I've ever stayed at. Been to Cuba numerous times and know what other resorts offer. Service and food were deplorable. Had to complain to get anything like towels, water and even toilet paper. Staff very unfriendly and obviously over worked. 3 out of 4 elevators not working 3 buildings had to use same one. Would never recommend this resort to anyone. I'd say at least the drinks were cold but ice was no where to be found.

It was the best vacation ever! The staff was very friendly. We stayed in beautiful room 18314 with ocean view, swimming pool and jacuzzi. The food was great ! We can recommend this hotel to anyone

The beach, pool, and employees were great! Everything else...not so much. The sheets were only changed once and always smelled humid. The bathroom had appliances broken constantly and the towels were never changed with fresh new ones. Everytime you went into the lobby people were smoking. The halls and lobby stunk of rotten food and food that was being cooked. The food was bland, cold, and never was there any ice. Lastly, the air condition barely worked and was never cold, the knob for the cieling fan was broken and could not be used. Wouldnt recommend ANYONE to this hotel!

Had to guest services everyday for water and clean bath towels to be placed in my room. All inclusive yet had to buy water at the store, could not get bottled water anywhere, like i said 1 bottle a day placed in room and had to call to get that and i upgraded to a suit. The room was very dirty the first day of arrival, shower was broken, could not shower. No door knob on the bedroom door and there were two AC units in my room. Neither one of them worked, complained to guest services for the entire trip but maintenance did not do any repairs. They would not switch me to another room either.

The resort is pretty, staff are very nice. My 2 biggest issues were the broken washrooms all the time, absolutely terrible for a 4.5 star rated resort. With 500+ guests they had about 5 working washrooms (not include rooms of course). Also, the pool snack bar had no covers on their chafing dishes of food and birds and flies came in and were sitting right on the edge of all the food, very unhygenic. Other than that a nice experience. These issues need to be resolved.
