Hotel Sevilla in Havana, Cuba is one of the few places where you can get wifi. 1 hour of wifi is 2 Pesos.
There is also a live band on occasion. It is a very nice chill spot.
Exceptional bad service and prices that are soo overpriced, it's a joke.
Don't bother staying there.
Staff are helpful but given that it's Cuba, half the things in your room won't work. This is what's called a Cuban 5 star hotel.
Nice hotel with good atmosphere. Live music in a lobby bar. Clean rooms, however can be a bit noisy occasionally. :) Location is great.
Historic Hotel with beautiful live music daily. Rooms are okay, bathrooms are small but useable.
Good attempt to keep international service standards. Basic hardware while service can be improved. Has excellent live performance at the lounge. Should tie up some transport service to pick up guest arriving from the airport, will save guests being hustled by the airport taxis
Very small rooms. Not in good shape. The walls and doors a paper thin so you can hear everything that is happening in the lobby. Won't stay there again. Expensive for what it is.
Just returned. Loved this hotel with its cultural roots. Air-conditioned, rooms clean, staff friendly, very helpful. We stayed on 7th floor with lovely view. This hotel is within walking distance to many restaurants, Hemingway haunts, markets, opera house. 9th floor with open French doors to balcony. Open patio bar/restaurant. Best Pina Coladas ever!
Live music is excelent, rooms and swiming pool is good, but wi-fi a bull-s..t
A real mixed bag.
The good: brilliant live music in the small courtyard.
The bad: paid for wifi, didn't work, non-refundable. Also they charged us 3 times (for 3 different amounts :-/ ) and we had to liaise with our credit card company to arrange refunds.
We loved our stay, was a great week. The staff was outstanding, extremely helpful in helping us to resolve our issue. Our son Ramses, has a special condition:autism, and all the staff was extremely understanding, friendly, and lovely with him.He loved the environment and the staff, specially the front desk 's girls and to Alberto, the trunk hotel. The breakfast, excellent. Thanks for your hospitality.
The staff in the 24hr cafe are a poorly trained. Clearly they do not understand the concept of tips mean good service.
Hotel room has subpar A/C. Am i itchy?
They take credit cards in bar if low on Cuban pesos. Food was not bad. Wi-Fi okay.
Great location, cool courtyard with music, good cocktails. Rooms are big and clean. Awesome view from the 9th floor restaurant. Location of "Our man in Havana".
Great history to this hotel. Love the view from the window. Great breakfast. Enjoyed the swimming pool. Friendly staff.
Location is great, walking to most of the central/old Havana. Close to Capitol. Rooms are not as nice for the price we paid. Long wait for elevator. Nice bar/patio area always live Cuban music there. Most of the lobby staff speaks English. Breakfast included was average.
This is a wonderful, historic hotel. We loved our stay. The staff was outstanding. We had a travel issue upon arrival, and Gerardo, in hotel management, was extremely helpful in helping us to resolve our issue. They have live music and dancing day and night. I cannot recommend this place enough, if you are looking for a real taste of Cuba. It's centralized location is perfect for sightseeing, and interacting with the people. We absolutely loved our stay. If you are looking for a resort vacation, in a brand new hotel, this is not the place for you. But if you want to see the real Cuba, you have to stay here.
Great lobby, nice buffet breakfast and horrible rooms. Music in lobby all day and mimes for breakfast. Staff is friendly. The bulbs were out in both bedside lamps and for three days I requested new light bulbs to no avail. The TV remote had not worked is so long that the batteries were leaking. The mattress was so old that my back -which I never have a problem with - hurt the entire three days I was there. The sage in the middle of the mattress has about eight (8) inches. The hotel is extremely costly because of the location which is excellent. The walk to the Ernest Hemingway's haunt, the Floridita Bar is just a five minute walk.
the toilet did not work in my room. I paid over $300 a night here and I thought we had clogged the toilet. We had to complain 3 times before someone even came to the room, when someone finally did she did nothing. turns out it is standard operating procedure for the maid to throw chemicals in the toilet to unclog it when she makes up the room. the toilets just don't work and they have no intention of fixing them so plan on using the bathrooms in the lobby and by the pool. i was also blatantly ripped off by the restaurant in the lobby, make sure you get everything that you pay for and you pay for only what you got. also 2 of the elevators did not work the entire time, we had to use the service elevators instead - i suspect this is always the case as well.
the pool is beautiful.
Great old hotel. Breakfast was great. I got a free upgrade to a larger room with access to the roof-top restaurant, which had beautiful views of Havana. The elevators were always acting up and the wifi is terrible, but this was a great place to experience the city. The lobby always seemed alive with music. Great location too.
