Amazing holiday with my family. Would highly recommend enjoyed every single second of our week long stay and wished we'd have booked for 2 weeks.

We went at the end of october/ early November right before they get busy and this place is just paradise. The place is so clean and the staff work so hard. They all spoke good English which was great as my Spanish is terrible. There are soany bars, and so many places to eat, all included in the all inclusive. The beach is well maintained and I had my first ever massage in their spa which I loved. We also did several excursion which were great and easy to book. Would highly recommend.

Perfect hotel for a perfect holiday! Our 3rd time here at Playa Pesquero and it feels like a second home now. A big thank you to all the very hard working staff to make your holiday fantastic. For us as a family, we have been to different hotels in Cuba and Playa Pesquero is by far the best one so far. Great staff, good location, good food in restaurants, no complaints here. Highly recommended . Already booked for 2019.

Stayed at Playa Pesquero in 2017. Amazing service all round, staff always happy, large variety of food and drinks. Lots of activities to do around the resort through the day and has evening entertainment. Hotel room cleaned daily. Great value for money.

This is my second time to the hotel and I had a great time. The food was good although and the staff couldn't do enough to help you. I have heard a lot of people mention the hotel and how it is one of the best in Cuba.
Just remember that there isn't much going for the Country in way of money etc so staff do rely on tips as well but they never leave you feeling like you need to.
Also the rooms are a little bare and lack any good decoration but then you don't go on holiday to stay in your room!response / report this review -

My first time in Cuba and Worst hotel ever . Food , service and staff where horrible. Accommodations were awful . Mold and mildew everywhere in rooms. Smoking everywhere on resort. There idea of fresh fruit is canned and veggies are all canned as well . Staff was so rude they would not help you . The electric cars would literally run you over . Flies everywhere on food and in restaurants. Unsanitary bathrooms . The lobby bar smelled of sewer. Birds everywhere in lobby . Pools were cold and spas not in working order . Went to the spa for a massage and even that was sub par . Definitely not a 5 star resort . Will never go back to Cuba .

Don't book this hotel, Couldn't wait to leave. Would of put in half a good word if they hadn't of tried to con us out of money. Good riddance!!

The premium rooms are worth every penny. Butler service, 7ft bed, exclusive restaurant. Just beautiful.

Amazing place would highly recommend it.
Especially good because of its price too! Had a fantastic time. The buffet is great and the restaurants too. Didn’t visit much but the beach and pools are fantastic. The coffee place is fantastic and the mojito bar and cocktails everywhere are great! Went on a fishing trip on the river which was great. Also recommend visiting to local commercial centre and taking a horse and cart from outside the hotel.response / report this review -

Outstanding hotel/complex - truly paradise - been before and had to come back - it's that good! Cuban people are amazing and nothing is too much trouble - too much to say here so look on TripAdvisor "can't wait to come back/ 2" (and soon 3) ! Hope the hurricane hasn't done to much damage - would be such a shame. '3' now published with a management response - check it out - In my opinion 80% + 4/5 star reviews mean 'they're getting it right' !! Some people might have had a 'poor' experience (unfortunate) and some would appear to just like to whinge for the sake of it!! - just keep it all in context - bottom line is, it's a 3rd world country that has its own unique character and charm - go with an open mind and meet real genuine people - by all accounts it's the safest of all the Caribbean islands and PP is "out of this world"

A wonderful resort but a warning to female tourists travelling to Guardalavaca: do not trust the kite boarder who goes by the name of Alejandro Batista Ramirez (Alex). Alex is short, little man, dark hair with a microphone tattoo on his chest, attached you will find a photo of him. He will try to make you feel sorry for him because "he is Cuban and has nothing" he will tell you he cannot have children because of an "accident" he had when he was younger. This is a lie. One among many lies that he told me over the 6 months I knew him. Alex will tell you he loves you the day he meets you because he thinks this is what the tourists want to hear. He will tell you that you are the best person in the world and that he needs you. He will party with you, dance and drink with you, make you feel like you are important. He will bring you to his home to meet his mother and grandparents so that you feel like you are special to him. You are not special, this is all part of his plan to try to get you pregnant so you have no choice but to marry him. He just wants a ticket to Canada, but is too lazy to work for it. He does not care about anyone but himself and he will break your heart and ruin your life. I learned this all the hard way and I do not want any woman to have to go through the hell I went through. So be careful ladies, you cannot trust Alex or any other Cuban man. Have fun with them but remember that all they want is a ticket off the island.

The resort is very big. The accommodations are comfortable and very clean. The beach area is well kept. The pools are big and kept clean n organized. The food is tasty and well prepared. The staff excellent.

All inclusive, great meals, all the pork,beef, veal, and shrimp,fish for any Brit to eat. The local brew (Cristal) is a stonking drink. Loads of sunbed, own private long golden sands. Pleasant staff all day every day. They made me a birthday cake and brought it to my room. I could rant on and on. Best thing to say is, we have already booked for 2018 after being home 3 days. Go on, get it booked.

My son and me we had a quality time for a week in the Playa Pesquero Superior Room Service Feb 24 to March 3, 2017 . we live in different Provinces here in Canada and it was so awesome . we rest pretty much and enjoy the resort so much. Thank you to all the personnel that some how got to talk with us. so kind, so friendly. I recommend this place 100% .. the food was excellent . the entertainment. Nexus tours I think it was a nice birthday present for my adored son Luis this great but to short vacation. Thank you for all the attentions the butlers and the cart drivers. the girls in housekeeping the girls at the reception the piano girl at the italian restaurant .. all was very good. See you soon Playa Pesquero :)

We went here for a week to take a break from the cold here in Canada. We got a really good deal (for less than $3000 CAD for a family of four, including the flight and transportation) The food, espcially the seafood here was delicious!!Our whole family enjoyed the beautiful well kept beach and we practically spent every hour of every day at the pool. The Shows were all pretty nice and the Staff here are fantastic. The resort was pretty big and the layout of it was beautiful.There was a little bug issue in our room in the first few days, but they quickly and effortlessly moved us into a new room on the second floor near the pool, which was nice of them to do.There was a lot of things to do and there are always activities going on. I would definitely recommend going here and we will definitely be coming back!Just be sure to get a room on the second floor or near the pool to if you want to limit the bugs from getting into your room.

Excellent facility, had a great 4 week vacation. Hats off to our housekeeper, Ilaynna and our gardener Ernesto. Nexus excursions were super, went on 4. Food and accommodation were very good with the exception of a in room coffee machine. Highly recommended, we will be returning next year.

Went there from Jan 31 to Feb. 8. Terrible experience. Wife and I both with stomach issues. Cleaning lady was mediocre. I left some dirt on bathroom counter on purpose all week. Not cleaned once. We were robbed of cell phone, I pod, my wife's jewelry on last day. Emailed resortno response! Would not recommend!
