A solid all-inclusive in a beautiful setting. Family-friendly with abundant reasonablly good food and drinks. Several small venues within the larger resort allow you to mix it up in eating and drinking places. Nice family friendly pool but the beach is what to go for. Perfect white sand, warm calm water, nice short walks lots of shade when you need it. Rooms are not special but comfortable and clean. No hesitation to recommend this resort.

Fantastic 'hotel' which would be better described as a holiday village. It is spread over multi acres with all the accommodation being in low rise 16 room blocks (8 rooms per block per floor x 2 stories). Each block is set in its own garden area.

The rooms are large and well done out although a little dated- this is Cuba remember.

Lots of fab different restaurants and bars which ensure a 24/7 all inclusive service.

Clean, tidy, a fantastic beach, fab pool, great entertainment program, friendly staff.

If you're looking for party central then cross this off your list. This hotel is amongst 3 others set on a remote coast with nothing much around until you get to Holguin city about half hours drive away. Not an 18-30s destination for sure!

Love this place. Short walk to the beach and everything really. Staff are extremely friendly. And will even remember you from year to year. Highly recommend.

We thought it a lovely, friendly place. Great staff. Short walk to beach through nice manicured gardens. Basic Caribbean style accommodation, large rooms with comfy beds. Book early, in advance if you want to try the speciality restaurants. Lots of choice in buffet at breakfast and throughout mealtimes. Pool areas spacious and clean. Spent many hours in it. Cold initially but lovely and warm once heated by the sunshine.

Just spent 12 days here. Sun, Sea and Sand were perfect. Bars, restaurants and snack bars all available around the clock.

Cuban food is well just Cuban so you will love it or just think its OK.

All sailing or canoes are FOC.

The staff make this place very special. They genuinely want to make your stay special. Whilst we were there the mix of guests was predominantly Canadian, British, Cuban, German and a few others.

Memo to self Take my own beer cooler for next visit.

Resort was great beach was also great The staff were friendly and fast to help The pool was nice but needs fixed in areas The food however,while its usually great, sucked this year New management is what alot of guests blamed this on Buffet is just not the same and the shows were either the same ones as past years or not very good In a week there was only one worth watching and that was fantasy and illusionist one Glad to see the resort was still beautiful as always Lots of problems with our carrier but that's another review and has nothing to do with the resort

Very beautiful hotel, rooms cleaned daily (cleaner very friendly), staff very helpful, osmide the tour guide was outstanding he made our holiday.

Bad points:
Daytime activities were repetitive and there wasn't alot.
Evening entertainment very much the same as the day.
Food what there was was OK however same every day. A few things such as vegetables served at breakfast could b served during afternoon or evening.

Nothing of the above spoilt our holiday

Has potential to be a 4* but not quite there yet. Possibly because they were understaffed for the Christmas/New Year season, though having never been here before I can't say with certainty. However they were under staffed, this was evident.

All in all, still an enjoyable 10 days. Probably won't be back though.

Upside is the staff are generally very friendly and helpful although I found reception and customer services ( Ricardo ?) a little brusque. Food very boring after the first few days and not sure what you get when you ask for water/ice. Is it bottled ? sometimes tasted strange, all our party had upset tummies. Beach ok. Accommodation pretty basic and electrics a bit iffy. Grounds nicely kept. Been twice but don't think I will be returning. Good if you want plenty of cheap alcohol and aren't fussy what you eat. Personally I would rather pay more and get a bit of luxury.

Just returned from two week holiday from this amazing hotel on 17 October 2017 if you are thinking of going this is a fair review ok,food is good as you will get,rooms are adequate little dated but clean enough,entertainment good could be better but they do try hard,drinks and alcohol plenty for 24 hours,beach amazing everything free and bar and snack bar,don't be put off by big land crabs roaming around hotel they are amazing too,and take mosquito repellent,irma left water around area and they are thriving on it although we only got six bites between us but some people were covered in them,staff are all amazing and I mean all of them,you must try the Japanese restaurant brilliant,we had just one day with rain in the time we were there so take note it will be hot,we had around 35deg c every day,cannot fault appart from there is no karaoke but I survived my wife was probably happy about that,we will be definitely returning next year,love the hotel and love all the staff and thanks for a great holiday see you soon.Phil And Joyce.

Small selection of food e.g. not enough fruit. Although Cuba is the producer of lemons, this hotel did not even supply any.
Staff is friendly, after tips. Not hygienic buffet-restaurant as birds fly inside.To be honest, Cuba became very expensive

We stayed at the Playa Costa Verde from 20th feb to 6th March, and I couldnt recommend this hotel enough. This holiday was a special birthday treat, and on the morning of my birthday a bottle of bubbly and a card arrived in our room. The hotel itself is impeccably clean, and the staff are really friendly. The food at the buffet restaurant is very good, although there are queues for the freshly cooked meat and fish, which is understandable. All three al a carte restaurants are very good too, but you do have to book for these on arrival, the japanese being especially good. The rooms are very spacious, although a little dated, and we arrived back almost each day to a different towel arrangement by our maid, down the last day which spelt out "bye" which made me cry ! The walkway around the pool area is being renovated, which is making a big difference, but they are doing it in stages, and you really dont notice work going on. Evening entertainment is very good too. The Beach is just a 5 minute walk away and very beautiful, would recommend going down for sunset. All in all best holiday ever, no wonder people return again and again. Thank you PCV.
