Just top notch! Judging from the street off of which you enter the property, you'd never imagine such a quiet and transporting place can be there... Going a few feet down an unpaved alley, you get to the entrance of the former farm turned colonial style hotel.

The facilities are so welcoming and imposing at the same time, and the attention: top of the line! We arrived after 10pm from a long road trip, and our son was not feeling well. Although the kitchen was closed and most of the staff were not awake, the security person not only lednua to our room, but also got our kid something to make him feel better.

In the morning, the breakfast is included and you are welcomed to a gorgeous dining room.overlookong the property.

If you need to stay a night or two in/near San Jose and want to be close to the airport, this is the place to go. AND it won't cost you an arm and a leg.

Great little oasis near the airport to recover from flight or chill before moving on

Overnight stay both on arrival and departure to Costa Rica. Near the airport, secluded tropical beauty, good meals, and nice rooms. We would definitely stay again.

Colonial architecture, calm and friendly. The only downside was the noice of jets but that was not noticable once you were in the room.

Beautiful little boutique hotel, very charming and authentic. The river nearby made for peaceful sleep and breakfast was delicious.

Very nice hotel within minutes to san jose airport. Clean, rustic looking rooms and very nice staff. If you need a close airport hotel you should stay here. Very easy to find and felt very safe.

It was a good value and looked beautiful from the outside but overall quality was poor and we didn't receive great service.

This is the place to stay before or after arriving at the San Jose airport! The best part of this little hotel is the staff! In my stay, everyone went above and beyond expectations to make us as comfortable as possible. From making sure we were fed when we arrived just before the restaurant closed to handing my 3 year old daughter a toy crocodile to cheer her up during our (delicious) breakfast, everyone we encountered was friendly and happy to help. The rooms are comfortable and clean and a welcome sight after our adventures. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept and you would never guess that this oasis is in the middle of the city. There is some airplane noise but we chose this hotel due to it's proximity to the airport--only minutes away by cab in the early morning.

Excelentes instalaciones, un lugar para vacacionar y realmente descansar; pocas habitaciones lo que lo hace muy acogedor.

Muy bien ambientado, es una vieja estancia modernizada. El servicio no es 5 estrellas.

First time to Costa Rica and of course flew into the San juan airport. We loved it, got in late and they had someone waiting for us. It's secure but allows you to have a pool, a great landscape, and one of the best breakfasts we had on our entire stay. Staff was bilingual and willing to call for taxi or help with directions. If you're going to stay near the airport, stay here. San Jose isn't a beautiful place but this hotel is! Of our three day stay in San jose, we definitely do not regret our stay at Trapp!
