Very caring staff. Close to san josé airport. Ideal if you want to stay a night before taking your plane.

The place was good enough and not too bad. It was clean. I stayed here the night before airport. One thing I was concerned is about their electric heating showers not being grounded. The color green on wiring indicates grounding wire but they are sticking out unconnected with red warning tag still attached to it. I used a private room shower instead of regular shower stalls because this one seems to be connected and grounded. But still! That’s so dangerous and it’s basically like playing with hair dryer in the bathtub, and it can kill someone if the power surges. The wirings are being so close to water, and them not being grounded is a really bad idea.

Staff was not very friendly. The room was not cozy whatsoever and you could hear all the conversations from neighbours on the room next-door. On top of that, the hot water in the shower did not work. My overall idea was to rest as much as possible before my 10h flight the day after, but the bed was so uncomfortable that I could not sleep well. It was not a good experience.

Good place. Simple but everything you need is there. Nearby the airport and shuttle to the airport is free! Breakfast included as well.

Everything was ok when I was there, BUT I have to give them 1 star because the showers are a death trap. The electric heaters are not grounded (forget about GFCI breakers, I wasn't really expecting them to have these, since it's a 3rd world country), which means that if something bad happens 220 volts will travel through the body of the poor soul unlucky to be there at that time and kill him/her. It seems this is common practice in Costa Rica, since I've noticed the same thing at other hostels too.

Great hostel in alejuela! Clean, open air patio and breakfast with coffee. Free shuttle to the airport. Awesome place to stay at the end of a trip. Que bien!

Not special but basically clean and conveniently close to the airport with a free shuttle. The kitchen would be better if it had a proper stove top and drying towels could be found.

Basic accommodation for fair price. Close to the airport, only $5 for taxi, short walk to central park. Clean room, kind staff, laid back and every thing that I needed it to be.
