Terrible. We reserved a 8 passenger SUV 4 wheel drivemonths in advance of arrival. Waited over an hour at airport in Liberia for pick up. Finally came, took us to their location, only to find NO reserved SUV. Only had a van. It was not cleaned or ready. Waited another hour and halffor cleaning, tire change, gas and paperwork. Screwed up our whole day. Go to Adobe!

We booked the car online for 144$ and they made us pay 615$ saying they could not accept our 2000000$ liability from our visa. Such a bad 1st experience when you just arrived in a country!!

This place is a scam. Do not rent from Solid. Their cars are garbage, but more importantly they Hoodwinked us. When we picked up the vehicle, we accepted all the insurance they offered us. The car they gave us was in poor condition from the start and then it was broken into at the beach. The thieves cut cables that prevented the car from starting. We were stranded. We called Solid and they did not send a tow truck until the next morning. They cared nothing about our safety. THEN THEY CHARGED US $300 for the towing. They said we didn't have roadside assistance. We were never offered roadside assistance! Choose another rental company for your trip to Costa Rica. These guys are out for your money and nothing else.

This place is a scam. Do not rent here under any condition. We booked a car for $17 online and when we arrived it was $60 a day. They made us get the insurance coverage at $42 a day. Check trip advisor on these guys they are scam artists.

TERRIBLE service. BROKEN cars. Agents lied on every step of the process. First car returned after 1 day of usage - gas pedal kept stuck, impossible to accelerate. Turn out agent new about problem and still gave us the car. No apologies offered, car was exchanged for another - not much better. Promised to return money for full day - never fulfilled. DO NOT rent from them. This is SCAM!!!

Terrible experience. Paid outrageous insurance fees. felt like a trap. Also couldn’t find their parking lot on the way back because Googlemap points at their old location and the guy was unable to explain on the phone. Next time I’ll go with Hertz. Lesson learned

Do NOT rent from them. They have outrageous mandatory insurance rates. Our total cost for the week was quoted around $300. When they added the surprise mandatory insurance when we picked up the car, the total was around $550. They tried to charge another couple $1000 dollars in insurance for a standard sedan. Of course, this was a complete surprise. There IS a mandatory amount of insurance needed for rental cars by the government, but the company added their own "mandatory" insurance rate above that. Apparently if you get insurance on your credit card somehow you can avoid this. Just make sure you call and get the ENTIRE TOTAL before your vacation is ruined.

Great customer service, trustworthy, decent prices once you get past the government-mandated insurance sticker price. Shuttle driver was expecting us and was parked at the ready with the engine running when we returned the car.

Nice cars, had a flat tire, had to argue that it was ruined when I got the car, metal bits coming out of the tire. They eventually replace it with another one free. Reasonable service. AS always always inspect the car fully.

Inexpensive cars. However the booking said Nu car rental. The agreement said Solid Car rental. They brought the car to the airport for us but we had to do the paperwork in the car.. odd. The required insurance costs 20x more than the car. You are requored to leave them with 2 open receipts in the event that you do not return the vehicle. Returning the car was annoying because we really didn't know where to go. We had to call to find the location (20 min down the street - which was under construction). Generally friendly staff.
