  I studied abroad from Philadelphia University and stayed at this research outpost facility in Guanacaste (studying EcoDiversity in the tropical dry forests of Central America). The facility is in good working condition, and the meals prepared by the family running it were always warm and delicious. There was some electricity available in the research cabins. The facilities on grounds use cistern water that is not heated.
  
  It is pitch black at night with no light pollution, and offers an incredible sight of the sky at night time.
  
  Don't wander far from camp alone, the wildlife tracking cameras on the trees nearby picked up a mountain lion / puma during our stay at the facility!
