Take the bus to the Llanos stop, walk along the road for about 1km then, once through the gates on the right (very obvious) walk another 1km to the parking area. Continue through the parking lot to get to the entrance trail in the right. All free to enter, with snacks and souvenirs for sale. Go early and on weekdays for less people. Bring a towel to sit on and watch out for ants.

Wow, what a little gem of a find. Go early and during the week to get pictures without other tourists. Swim to back left, climb out and walk behind the falls!! Amazing spot!

Beautiful secluded waterfall only a short drive off the highway. The dirt road is very worn, so I would recommend SUVs only. Swimming there is a must, although we were told that jumping off the waterfall was not allowed (much to my husband's disappointment). Be prepared to pay an entrance fee "donation" as well as a parking fee "donation," both nominal. Plenty of wildlife there too, we saw lots of birds and monkeys.

Great Experience. The waterfall was beautiful. Definitely stop here and bring a swimsuit. The entrance is just after a bus stop and overhead walkway. You drive back in a dirt road and there will be some really nice folks at the entrance asking for a donation we gave them $5 per person. After the entrance you drive back in a little further and there is a parking lot. A couple people come over and greet you to tell you about where to go explaining there is a path down to the bottom of the waterfall and a path to view it basically from above and to the side. They also ask for a donation for the parking We gave them $5. The Path down to the water falls base is a fairly easy walk and has concrete steps its about a 5 min walk down. Its not to difficult since its a fairly short walk. At the base of the waterfall there are alot of people on the "beach" and in the water below the waterfall swimming.

Very beautiful waterfall, nice place to swim. But can be crowded so if you're looking for a secluded spot, there are better finds

This was one of my favorite things we did while in Costa Rica, there is a waterfall with cliff jumping that I was hooked on! There are several different ledges so you can jump from different heights going up to about 40-50 ft high! Was a blast! Great swimming spot too at the main waterfall, beautiful for pictures

Gorgeous! Clean! A new restaurant and hotel only 200 yards after exiting the HWY offers clean bathrooms, local and fusion food, horse back riding. Very reasonable prices. Food is excellent, healthy, fresh. Pizza on weekends.

This waterfall is off the highway halfway in between Liberia and Cañas on the right, and from there it's about a mile. Gravel road but easily navigated on any vehicle. There's a voluntary contribution to enter the property and another for parking. Not developed at all but it appears due to its popularity the local government is starting to build facilities in there. The waterfall is magnificent. Quick hike down to it and hiking trails on top to a pool of cold spring water
